I have manually entered a melody in the Melody track.
On rendering to audio, I'm not getting exactly what I notated (some notes "stick" then free up after a bar or so). Any ideas?
Thanks Gordon

Gordon,
When you play the song, does the melody sound correct?

GordonS, I'm sure we can help you. I hope you can give us more detail.
It is possible you entered the notes using a mouse. BIAB has a great, unique note entry system but it takes getting used to. It automatically extends the duration of notes until the next one starts. Is that what you are hearing? You can manually enter a rest. We can give you much more help when we know a little more.
BIAB 2024 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 6.5 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6; Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus Studio 192, Presonus Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors

Apology for delay, work intervened. Imagine - having to have a job!!!
I run BiaB 2017 Everything pack on Windows 10.
I manually entered the notes with a mouse via the notation method.
I think - from looking at your responses - that the last note of the 4 bar window I can see when I enter the notes has auto-extended across the next bar without me being able to see it. The new notes I entered are OK - just that the last note of the last of the 4 bars is the one that stick.
I'll go back and try "copy / paster special - from / to" to see if that clears it.
Thanks so much for all your responses, willpost the outcome ASAP.
Gordon

Hi Gordon
Yes that had me going for a while until I got used to entering notation . As you know each note you enter last a bar and a half and dosent get its correct value until you enter the next one . This is fine until you get to the last note . There are various ways to shorten the last note. Enter another note or rest at the point you want the last note to end then delete the extra note . Lets say the last note wanted to be a whole note on the first beat of the bar to shorten it from its default one and a half bars go to the beginning of the extra half bar and insert a whole bar rest this will make the last note one bar. Or insert another note instead of a rest at this point then delete it. It is an unusual way of entering notation, but once you get your head round it ,quicker than choosing note heads from a note pallet as in many notation programs. Sorry if you had worked this out by now. Have fun Mike

You can right-click on a note when in Editable Notation Mode, and change the duration numerically. Or you can drag a note to a new length in the piano roll.

Problem solved - thanks guys. Copy Special fixed it - it was over-run per your posts above.
Thanks again.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
