This is my eleventh production with PG Music software- I've been on a roll! All tracks are RealTracks and RealDrums. Thanks to Craig Scott, Alex Al, Jeff Lorber, Miles Black, Carlos E. Arellano, Gonzalo Bergara, and Jim McGill for their fine playing!

The Basic Style was Caramba (Rumba/Funk). I took a couple of chances on making it a bit more contemporary than a straight-Latin track. The 10-band EQ, and PG Reverb were used on most tracks, with Chorus/Echo on the solo guitar, saxes, and flutes. Other than BIAB/RB, I used EasyQ EQ plugin for the sax solo, and Audacity was used for a dash of post-mix editing (crop, Amplify, Fade Out, and mastering EQ).

As always, thanks very much for listening and please enjoy! If you dig it, please do leave a like and a comment, and consider following me at SoundCloud. Thanks guys!!

This is a well-mixed production. The song emits a tangible energy that propels the listener on a mellow magic carpet ride. Very enjoyable.

Warren,
Very nice Jazz Bossa! I like this type of music. Yep, I think the chance you took making this more contemporary worked well, especially accenting muted guitar notes smile Flutes are very well embedded. Sax playing is very nice too, but I would prefer it to be more bassy and wider (my 2 cents as a casual listener, not as somebody who knows smile )

P.S. The energy of your tune reminded me of jazz band "3rd Force". Very positive.

Thank you for sharing,
Misha.

Hi Warren,

This is superb! The arrangement radiates musical competence in every direction and the mix and production are top shelf. If this was a cake entered in a cake decorator's competition, it would be award winning for sure. Your creation and its presentation are wonderful.

Did you play any parts in this work? I know that you are a very competent woodwind player and I really can't tell if any of these tracks are you.

Thank you for taking me on such an enjoyable musical ride.

All the best,
Noel

Noel and Jim, thank you so much! Noel, I always love your descriptive comments. I'm playing the octave flute lick, flute solo and sax solo. I'd spent some time on a horn block of 3 saxes at the beginning but didn't love it and replaced it with that funky/plucky synth pad, which I really like. Misha thanks! I just listened to 3rd Force for the first time- very nice!

Warren,

My comments for the next few days will have to be brief as my wife just returned home from the hospital (twice since Christmas) and needs lots of attention. I apologize for the brevity but it's necessary. Thanks for understanding!

Simply love this! I really enjoy this genre and the twist you put on it gives it great edge! This is so well mixed and delivered. What a treat!

best to you & yours ...

Alan

Alan, thank you! And, I hope your wife heals quickly. We are the next town over from Elkins, and are occasionally in Lewisburg which is a particularly beautiful town.

Wow - I thoroughly enjoyed this! Love the bossa groove on it, and the production is absolutely top notch. The mix is flawless, and sounds professional. I found it to have a really modern feeling to it as well.

Great work, and thanks so much for sharing smile

Cheers,
Deryk

Again instrumentals are not really my thing, this was a nice Sunday morning laid back track.

Would so easily fit one of the mood albums That are released for this type of music.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
