Hello wobblygstring/Chris, Please supply a little more info such as the BIAB elements used, who you collaborated with and what "mastering by Bandlab". Oh, and did you mix the track? It's hard to tell with all that Banlab stuff being mentioned. Lyrics'd be nice too. I had a quick listen to the 1st track...and the vocals seem drenched in reverb or in another room and leaning slightly off centre. I look forward to listening in more detail when I know what I'm listening to etc.
Cheers rayc "What's so funny about peace, love & understanding?" - N.Lowe

Hello rayc
Please see brackets for answers. I took the liberty to quote your questions to remember the order. So here goes: Please supply a little more info such as the BIAB elements used, (Folk style midi 120bpm) who you collaborated with (Bevan Timm on Vocals South Africa and Claudio Mendez on Lead guitar) and what "mastering by Bandlab". (Bandlab, available app on Android, IOS and Windows, download via playstore. Online mastering tool with upload of song) Oh, and did you mix the track? (Yes I did, Learning to mix) It's hard to tell with all that Banlab stuff being mentioned. Lyrics'd be nice too.
(Buskers Anthem
He set him up on a busy corner street Enticed his hopes with notes so sweet With sound he gave the morning a nod anna greet To them deaf ones walking by oh so discreet
This is a song of where I belong To play and entertain with live song Cause its on the sidewalk where I belong
Singing popular covers with his heart Even if some chords and notes ain’t that smart Hoping for a fixed gig and a paying start Grateful for ten cents in a can is a start
This is a song of where I belong To play and entertain with live song Cause its on the sidewalk where I belong
And sitting at home with a cup of tea Knowing that again he will play for free On a sidewalk or under a wintery tree Always hoping for more than a freebee
This is a song of where I belong To play and entertain with live song Cause its on this sidewalk where I belong
Singing tunes from his doubts little cracks Hating back tracks and wrapper monotone acts Bearing his soul and hoping they’ll react But living his dream living his faith as a fact)
I had a quick listen to the 1st track...and the vocals seem drenched in reverb or in another room and leaning slightly off centre. (used too much Stereo panning) I look forward to listening in more detail when I know what I'm listening to etc.

Hi rayc
Thanks for the questions
I played the rhythm, the track was sent to musician friends in the Johannesburg area and I requested them to go bush on the track and do their interpretations. In doing so I set a trap for myself, with limited mixing experience

Hi Chris,
I'm listening to "Muscle Cars and Sleazy Bars" at the moment...
I totally love the ambience that you've created with this musical production. Bevan's vocals are stunning -- very confident and easy on the ears. Claudio's and your guitar work comes across really well, too. You certainly seem to be getting the hang of mixing! All in all, this sparkles with competence from all involved.
I don't have time at the moment to listen to your other song. I'll come back to that a little later.
All the best, Noel

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
