With apologies to Clement Clarke Moore...... and everyone else for that matter.

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through our house,
Not a creature was moving, not even my mouse,
The presents were placed ‘neath the tree with much care,
The problem? – MY BAND IN A BOX DISKS ARE THERE!!

My wife asked me weeks ago “What can I buy
You for Christmas – a new shirt, some shoes. Or a tie?”
I said “Don’t want undies, or hankies or socks,
I want the new upgrade for Band In A Box.”

She said “That’s alright, you can order and pay,
But remember – no opening until Christmas Day”
So my Band In A Box sits, wrapped under the tree,
But sometimes I’m sure that it’s calling to me.

“Come, come and play with me, I can do lots,
I can freeze tracks, I can do holds and shots,
I quickly load Real Tracks, there lots of undos,
With a heap of new styles – jazz, rock, folk & blues.”

But I’ve had my instructions from the long suffering wife,
“Don’t open till Christmas – or you’ll be in strife”

So here I sit patiently, till Christmas Day,
When I’ll tear off the wrapping, install it and play,
But don’t tell my missus, or there’ll be a fight,
I downloaded last week from the PGM site.

So I’ll have to pretend that it’s all very new,
And I’ll have to act puzzled, as I work my way through,
So while I anticipate joy and delight,
Merry Christmas from Oz, and to all a goodnight.

Cheers,
Keith

Kinda of a sly fox, aren't you?

Ten bucks and my lips are sealed.

Merry Christmas

Very good, Kieth, I got a good chuckle from it.

And as you already know, the new features are way cool.

Very original, Keith - my son and I had a good laugh.
You'd better be a very good actor Christmas Morning, and steer clear of the run eggnog or the truth will out, mate.

Cheers - Ian

Good poem by the way.

(to no particular tune ... for good reason)

My new BIAB 2010 upgrade is also
Wrapped and under the tree.
At least that's what I'm hoping
Can't open it, yet you see.

For unlike 'Keith from Oz' I'm waiting.
I didn't attempt the download.
My Verizon DSL connection is
So slow it would likely implode.

And though I admit I'm a bit worried
My laptop might not like the upgrade.
I CAN"T WAIT(!) until Christmas morning
With all the RealTracks to be played.

It'll be like the Christmas my parents
Hid a Sears autoharp under the tree,
Or the Christmas a couple years later
When they gave an Epiphone 12-string to me.

Only this time there'll be a whole band
With so many instrument choices;
With styles galore, and so many new options,
Along with those TC-Helicon voices.

So though I can't open it yet,
I'm waiting with great anticipation.
And the best thing of all (besides Christmas!)
Is I'll also be ON VACATION.

So I'll have a few days to test it
And work out all of the kinks.
Then with the help of BIAB 2010
I'll be posting a batch of new song links.

(At least that's my goal!)

Merry Christmas, Everyone.

New BIAB 2010 installed without a hitch,
Though RealBand's installation did have a slight glitch.
But after a reboot and a couple more tries,
Both packages ran well - what a pleasant surprise.

My old laptop worked fine too; though someday I'll change.
But for now it still works to record, play and arrange.
Applause to PG Music for an amazing feat.
No high-end computer needed. Now that was a treat.

A little Velcro helps hold the new harddrive in place
So it won't slip and slide all over the place.
And a twist-tie helps manage the fancy new cable
Especially when I'm not at my studio table.

I'm a happy musician, thanks to PG Music,
With a whole "Band in a Box" sounding much less "electronic."
New software installed, new songs to be "penned."
New inspiration thanks to BIAB 2010.

I hope Keith from Oz and all the rest of the new BIAB 2010 are just as pleased as I am!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
