So I have everything, as I do each year but it 's that time again.
I'd really appreciate if someone, (Guru), would be kind enough to tell what is the right choice for upgrading so as not to lose out on anything. It always seems so confusing and living here in UK it appears there is duty to pay on top though I can't really get my head around that as surely a digital download shouldn't be party to additional costs. What should I be upgrading too friends? Oh, and is there additional pluspaks too?
Windows 10 (64bit) M-Audio Fast Track Pro, Band in a Box 2024, Cubase 13, Cakewalk and far too many VST plugins that I probably don't need or will ever use
Hi Mal, you can always contact us directly via live chat or email sales@pgmusic.com. We can look into your order history and give you recommendations based on that. Happy holidays!
Scroll down and enter your BIAB's serial number (see image below). Purchase information should then appear.
Regards, Noel
Though at present that isn't offering 2022 as an upgrade. Work in progress, I imagine.
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful. Kawai MP6, Korg M50, Ui24R, Saffire Pro 40. AVL:MXE Linux; Windows 11; Win8.1: Scarletts BIAB2022 UltraPAK, Reaper, a bunch of stuff.
This is one of the reasons I find PGM's product information so confusing.
It would appear that, as an UltraPak 2021 user I could upgrade at $99 with a plusPak or $149 with an UltraPak, but it appears that both offer the 2022 programs and the 222 additional RealTracks and the BonusPak. So why would I upgrade at $149 when I can apparently get the same thing for $99.?

I think one includes a thumb drive with only the new stuff while the other is complete with all BIAB stuff.
I am in a similar position. From 2021 UltraPak I am being advised to upgrade to 2022 UltraPak+ at 179 dollars. This means I will be repurchasing the 3100+ RTs/RDs and 2800+ MIDI styles that I already own. The additional MIDI tracks, Artist performances etc, I can live without. I have versions of these from previous years and probably looked at them 3 or 4 times since then. The 99 dollar PlusPak which includes all the new RTs seems to be the way to go for me, this plus the 49 Pak seems better value and has more content that I will use. Or am I missing something?

All installed and up to date except Xtra Styles PAK 12. Apparently there is a problem with this download and it's being sorted so I don't need an extra Prozac.
gibson. i'm in a similar boat as you. but want to upgrade from 2020 ultrapak +. was thinking the 99 buk plus 49 buk...option. on a usb pen drive ? is that doable pg ? please advise. OR if i pay 169 buks upgrade do i get a new usb hard drive ?
finally can anyone tell me if... 1. new 2022 vst plug has pans and vols ? 2. in the 2022 acw screen in realband and biab has an option to slow down playback like there is in rb traks view ? reason i ask is ...i'm useing rb and bb to "tart up" some songs that started on tape , and masters ive converted to digital wav. i'm deep into the acw.

That would make some sense, though they also both list as download and the $149 is the download price.
I just noticed the bonus 49Pak is also an option ... on both, at the same $49.

Seems like a good choice, only thing you're missing is the Xpro 2 pak and the Xtra style pak 12 which would give you an extra 300 ready made styles.

Good to see another biab fan in this region.

re. Style Paks, I tend to use a style as a starting point then roll my own, so only buy occasionally.
Been using BIAB since the end of the previous millennium, lurked around here for years then joined up when I realised I could get better and faster advice here.
We fellow users get some right, but are we better or faster? I notice more participation here by PG Music staff now, which is great.
Perhaps I should clarify my previous remark; For day to day, How do I..?, Why does this happen? type of questions, the forum is my first call, the few "in depth" problems I occasionally have are sent to and sorted out by PGM. The forum is a great info source because of the generous and knowledgeable responses to other users' questions.

Follow along as he goes from "nothing" to "something" with his Band-in-a-Box MIDI Melodist track, using ACE Studio to turn it into a vocal track (or tracks, you'll see) by adding lyrics for those notes that will trigger some amazing AI vocals!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows® Today!
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
