Your original post warns users not to use a certain style because it will cause an "error".
It turns out there is no error, nothing is broken, and there is no reason for anyone to avoid using this style.
You just didn't understand what was happening.
Next time you encounter unexpected behavior, consider that you may just need to learn what's going on, and refrain from immediately assuming there is a problem with BIAB that you need to warn people about.
However, if this style is used, the track sound will be lost. This makes novices wonder. I just want to know why. It's like you change from No. 1 bus to No. 2 bus. As a result, I lost a shoe. I don't know why the shoes are gone. When I found that my shoes were lost, I asked the No. 2 driver. The driver said it was normal to lose shoes because they would be lost when taking the bus. I came home and wrote an article saying, don't take No. 2 bus in the future, because you will lose your shoes.
Having studied both of these threads, I do agree that there is something weird going on here.
HOWEVER.
You raised the issue in another thread, a week earlier.
You had PG support responding, and they clarified the situation, which, again, is a little weird.
Raising it again, like this, in a brand new thread, with no reference to the other thread, because it bothers you, is less than considerate of the people who stand ready to assist you.
Yes, I got a reply. But I still don't understand why RT can't become RD or RD can't become RT. I'm sure I still have doubts. If I don't have doubts, I won't come and send an article. Our purpose is not to make BIAB more perfect, better used and more popular?
swingbabymix has only muted the track and a few bars later unmuted the track - not changed anything else to this "drum" track and regened - surely this can be accomplished? This would be making a song with this style very difficult without making any regens - biab itself would force a regen if the song had a bar changed.
Yes, after watching the video, it's clear to me that there's something wrong there. In fact, the issue seems to be much simpler: loop tracks do not seem to respond to Style changes through F5
To replicate: 1. New Song > load any style with loops 2. at bar 5 > F5 > Change to any all realtracks style. 3. Press play > The loop tracks will ignore the style change at bar 5.
Or: 1. New Song > load any all realtracks style. 2. at bar 5 > F5 > Change to any style with loops. 3. Press play > The loop tracks will be ignored at bar 5.
In fact I looked at the numbers and noticed that out of the 10,000 styles that I currently have, only SOME don't have the drums in 3 !!! So this story does not need to be since it is exceptional, I believe that our friend does not advance the project but is wasting our time. In any case for me it's settled. I prefer to focus on the powerful functions of BIAB and not waste my time changing an icon color or cutting my hair in four. Bye!

The problem has nothing to do with the fact that the drums track is on the channel 3, but with the fact that loop tracks seems to be not compatible with Change Style via F5 settings, please, see my post above and try the described steps if you want. Does that work for you?
I'm not a beta tester (not here, at least), but an user has posted a legitimate issue that maybe is not important for you, but could be relevant for other users. He has done a good job uploading a video, so other users can test the problem in their systems and eventually report the issue to PG Music. That's what user forums are good for
Cerio, hi. You made 956 posts in 16 years and Swing made 759 in 3 months !!! It's just to point out that he annoys a bit with his sometimes absolutely silly requests, like changing the appearance of Biab icons or looking for bugs where there aren't any. He had done the same circus with the VST. He only has to get hired by Biab if his main pleasure in life is looking for bugs.

Keith
Hey Keith, No. SBW didn't only mute the track and unmute it a few bars later. He did change something else. He changed the entire style of the song.
When his video opens, he's in the StylePicker and selects Gyrate.sty. This style change is placed at Bar 5a. The original style of the song is Bargpop.sty.
OK but a caution yellow note would make anyone aware of the problem. Replacing realdrums has never been an easy task especially for newcommers - this is something that PG could look at.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
