I wrote this in 2004 after my dog passed away. I never had a decent version of it due to key changes, inadequate midi, and difficulty with the solo in the middle.

This is not finished...but I am thrilled in the early going. I used the Chord wizard on an early mp3 demo of the song, and recreated the chords in realband, and started adding new real tracks!!!

Then I did some editing in Sonar and WHAMMO!

I am really tickled about this one.

My mp3 encoder is messed up. LAME encoder indeed. I need a new one.

I keep forgetting that most folks don't have a 25/15 connection like I do.

Sounds really good, Moo. Very nice!!!

Cheers,
Mike

PS: loaded in 57 secs for me, but an mp3 version might be better for most folks.

Cheers,
Mike

Moo,
First I can't believe how fast that wma downloaded - like a nano second. Sounds good too.

Your song touched my heart. I think anyone who's ever lost a pet they loved felt just that way - I know I did.

You said it's not finished yet....sounds good so far. I like your voice. The guitar tones, chord changes, mix - very nice.

Now quit making me cry. (Just teasing.)

WOW Moo, I think I remember the original and this, with all the Real tracks, and stuff is excellent.
Personally I find the Real stuff limiting BUT this goes a long way to shut me up
I too wrote a song when my dog died and I remember the "discussion" with my wife over it when I said jokingly, honest, that one can always get a new wife but a dog is for life.
Good effort Moo.

Moohead, I really enjoyed listening to your song. It totally involved me and the 3 mins 24 secs disappeared in a flash. I was with you all the way. Excellent work. You've got talent!

Rharv: I did what you showed me with the ACW. I had forgotten the darn thing existed! So you deserve major props here.

Thanks, Noel. That song is almost 6 years old. Still looking for that talent!

Mr Gibson- Good to hear from you. Real Tracks need some tweaking and editing in other programs like Melodyne and Sonar to bring out their best. But I consider them so vital to what I do. I have eliminated midi after 20 years of it!!!

Danny C: Sorry bro. The song is a bit sorrowful. Maybe the next song will be a jig and I'll recruit Furry!

Josie- Hello. It's this thing Gibson and I have. We make the ladies cry!!! If you're a pet lover, then you know why this song sat so long. Thanks for your kind words. Now go get a kleenex.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
