For those of you who are missing some 16 note playing in the soloists, here`s a workaround. (At least I`m missing them in the jazz solos)

1) At the end of the regular song in RB I type the changes I want for the solo in double length. f.e: if I want 1 bar of Cmaj, I now type 2 bars of Cmaj.
2) I double the tempo at the beginning of this double section . f.E.: If the song has 100 bpm, type 200 bpm at the beginning of the double chord section (behind the regular song). Don`t forget to expand the song to the end of the double time solo, otherwise no solo will be created.
3) Now change over to the track view. Highlight the double passage on the soloist track with a leftclick and drag it to the end of the double passage.
4) Create a new solo by rightclicking at the highlighted passage in the track and selecting Generate Real Tracks.
5) Now press Ctrl+C to copy the still highlighted solo. A dialog box appears.
Now this is important: UNcheck all options except: Copy EVENTS. This means don`t copy the chords (they are DOUBLE as long, so they would be wrong once placed in the right place), and don`t copy the tempo change. Only copy the audio event!!!
6) Go to the place you want the solo in the song. Press Ctrl+V, if a box appears check only "copy events", not the rest, just as mentioned above. E voila, you have a solo that now plays double as fast as before, but last exactly as long as before. The tempo is still, let`s say 100 bpm. But you have created a solo that is 200 bpm, so these are then 16th notes where only 8th notes appeard before.
7)Be careful to start the solo at exact the same point within a bar (best is bar x.1.0) that you copy it to. So best is to start at the very beginning of a bar and copy it to the very beginning of a bar.
8) If you want to you can now erase the double time section after the solo. Or just set the song length back to the last bar of the original song length and leave the double time at the end for future changes.

Good luck, and suggestions welcome, if you see any mistakes in this workaround.

Sandra,

That is the coolest tip I have seen so far. I was so bummed out because the RT Soloists sounded like they were stoned or drunk, or just tired. This should really put a fire under em......Thanks so much!

Very Welcome Edward,

I see there is bad English in point 3 of my explaination, wich could lead to some confusion.
Point 3 should be:
3) Now change over to the track view. Highlight the double passage on the soloist track BY LEFTCLICKING + DRAGGING TO THE END OF THE PASSAGE.
