Greetings all,
I encountered a strange problem this weekend regarding the use of the Soloist function and Realtracks. I'm trying to generate a guitar lead RT over a specified range of bars. My BIAB 2011 with build 317 generates the lead as expected. Then I shut down for the night and saved the file. The yellow reported that the RT soloist track had been locked. Here's the fun part, when I tried to open the file the next day it play one count-in beat and locked up the program. I had to crl-alt-del to exit. Repeated tries to access the file were futile so I deleted and fell back to an earlier saved version.
In trying to isolate the problem, I generated the an RT solo suing the RT dialog box for the entire song rather than a range of bars, saved exited BIAB, restarted the program and was able to open and use the file. I tried several other iterations and experiments and was only able to recreate the problem when trying to generate an RT solo over a rabge of bars using the soloist dialog box. The results were not affected by the RT I selected.
One other tidbit for consideration, the file with the solo over a range of bars works fine.
Any ideas? I'd really like to work the song in BIAB for a bit before working in RB.

I can't replicate that however what are your computer specs? Sounds like it may be a little light in resources and you have the both fast generation checked and you've deleted the +/- files as well has high quality chosen.Go to opt/prefs/realtracks. There are three boxes that make mention of slow machines. Set it up as if yours was a slow machine and see what happens.

I think that took care of the problem. I checked and unchecked the boxes as you suggested for a "slow machine" then tried to recreate the problem but couldn't.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
