[これは英語の掲示板に投稿されていたものですが、日本語掲示板に移動させていただきました。]
Band in a Box 16を最近入手した者です。
ノートパソコンのマイク入力に、ギター（エレアコ）の出力を送ることで、
オーディオ録音は問題なくできています。
ところが、いろいろためしたものの、ギターの音を演奏中に聞くことができません。
つまり、演奏中にBand in a Box の音をヘッドホンで聞きながら、
一緒に自分のギターの音も聞きたいのです。
どうしてもうまくいかないので、
ヘッドホンを半分耳からずらし、
エレアコの音は生音を直接聞くという、
情けない方法でしのいでいます。
解決方法をご存知の方、アドバイスいただけると幸いです。
なお、使っているハードウエアは、PCのみで、外部音源、オーディオインターフェイス等は使っていません。

マイクに向けた楽器演奏や音声がスピーカーやヘッドホンから聞こえてこないのは、「マイク」がミュート状態になっているからだと思われます。
Windowsの再生制御パネルを開いてください。「マイク」の「ミュート」にチェックが入っていませんか。
ここからチェックを外すと、マイク入力のギターの音がヘッドホン（あるいはスピーカー）に出力されるはずです。
これで、「Band-in-a-Boxの音はヘッドホン、ギターの音は生」にしなくても、両方共ヘッドホンで聞けるようになると思います。
PC内蔵のサウンドカードをお使いと推察いたしますが、サウンドカードは何をお使いでしょうか。
サウンドカードのタイプやマイクの接続方法にもよりますが、殆どの場合、これで解決できるはずです。

早速のアドバイスありがとうございました。 「マイク」がミュートになっているかどうか確認を試みたのですが、 ボリュームコントロールの中に、マイクの項目がありません。 使っているNote PC は、Dell XPS M1210で、 内蔵サウンドカードは、 SigmaTel Audioで、 調べてみたら、 http://www.atamanikita.com/stereo-mix/stereomix-xp5.htmlに、マイクが表示されないことがある旨、情報がありました。 まずは、この問題を解決してみることにします。 お手数で恐縮ですが、その後また相談にのっていただけると幸いです。 よろしくお願いいたします。

再生コントロールパネルで「マイク」の項目が隠れているかもしれません。
再生コントロールパネル内のオプションメニュー｜プロパティを選択してみてください。
プロパティダイアログが開いたら、「表示するコントロール」のリスト内に「マイク」の項目がありませんか。
あればそれにチェックを入れてダイアログを閉じると、再生コントロールパネルに「マイク」が表示されるはずです。

再確認しましたが、 マイク の項目はありませんでした。
やはり、マシン固有の問題である可能性大ですね。
