Win 7 64bit and Biab 2010. All working fine until 2 days ago. After multiple windows updates I lost all sound in Biab. Opt/midi/Dxi etc showed 'none' synth selected. opened box and selected TTS-1; OK-ed out but still nothing, when I went back into DXi, none was showing as selected. Reset to factory settings... just the same. Full uninstall and reinstall... nothing. Restored to 2 days previous... nothing again. Uninstalled Sonar and reinstalled (for TTS-1)... no difference. When I open the Opt/Midi/DXi all the synths are shown and now when I try to load any of them I get a message that Biab cannot connect to it. All is not completely lost as I have a dual boot system on separate dics with XP on the other and everything there is working fine.
Any help would be appreciated.

LFU2, As I read your post, a some questions sprang to mind. 1. Have you tried disabling User Account Control (UAC) found in "Control Panel | User Accounts" ? 2. What directory is BIAB in? 3. What antivirus software are you running? 4. Is the latest build for BIAB installed? (If you've reinstalled BIAB, you'll also need to reinstall the latest build which #308 found at the below link.) http://www.pgmusic.com/support_windowsupdates.htm#308You also might try closing down BIAB, navigating to the BIAB directory and then deleting the files "Mysetup.DK" and "Intrface.bbw" found in the BIAB directory. Now start BIAB. This forces a return to factory settings. Regards, Noel

Thanks for the reply Noel96. Sorry for the delay in answering.
User A/c is disabled
Biab in C:\Bb
Antivirus is Panda A/v 2010
Biab is 2010 build 298
I downloaded the patch and tried to install it, and that is where I ran into problems... it would not recognise my Biab as 2010. At that moment I realised that I had perhaps a more basic problem as I remembered a few little mishaps over the preceeding few days. When re-installing Sonar I was met with a screen saying 'Ms Visual C++2005 redistributable table could not be found' .... so to cut a long story short I decided on a repair install of Win7. All systems are fine now and Biab is working perfectly.
So once again, thank you for your help.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
