Here is another original tune which will be on my boating cd. It was produced using Real Band. At almost every boat club there is some old guy who thinks he knows everything, and sometimes does. But he's a little on the crazy side like most of us. Thanks again to Bob and Oren at masteringmatters for help with the mix. I'm not a dock spider myself but I've met these guys in a lot of bars. You captured the stereotype well in the lyrics, Ed - Am I to guess that the CD will indeed be titled Ed Bulmer's Dock? It's nice to hear a 'folk' production. IMO I'd like to hear a lead instrument brought forward more in space between choruses and verses. Maybe even add a 1-up harmony on the part of the chorus starting "He's just an old salt etc. to the end of the chorus. Or some such musical peaks/additions as the song progresses to keep surprising the listener. Nice song, good basic mix.

Good tune. Ian's right about bringing the instruments up in between the singing parts. Did you use a couple of different drum patches for this? There were some interesting percussion hits that didn't seem part of a standard patch. Looks like it will be a good CD.

A good melody and good lyrics.
Just like they was this old Jach Tars.
When I was a child there was still a lott of the "windjamers" around.
And they could tell the craziest stories.
One of them told me that he was so good at navigating that he could use the stars for navigating in the middle of the night without extra light.
