Hi,
If you've got the inclination, it is possible to use Bome MIDI Translator to drive Band in a Box through MIDI. I'm using a Korg nanoKontrol that I've setup to send out unused MIDI messages to the Bome Controller. Bome's software can translate MIDI into Keystrokes, Mouse movements, other MIDI commands and the reverse. Right now I'm using the nanoKontrol to send volume, reverb, mute and solo changes to BiaB in Real Time, but it's possible to use any MIDI controller to do the same things that I'm doing with the nano. I've got a Behringer FCB1010 Guitar Pedal stomp box MIDI controller as well that I'm certain could also be used to drive BiaB if you're so inclined (Bome accepts MIDI events and can turn them into keystrokes, MIDI events and mouse movements to drive Mac and PC computer screens.
Quite handy if like me you've got a MIDI rig with various MIDI hardware and software that doesn't quite talk to your other hardware and software. If anyone is interested, I'd be glad to post the solution on this forum, or maybe move it over to off topic. But, I really think that this is worth knowing about if you're a hard core BiaB user like me and want to be able to change parameters on the fly in live performance.
