This is the first BIAB song by my one and a half year old
grandson Bo.
"Tütata" is what he calls every vehicle with a siren.
So it also refers to red fire trucks and you can take it
as a Christmas song.

Guenter,

Very cool. Cute and very "Christmas-y" sounding. You are a very clever and innovative man. I am continually amazed. And... great mix, btw.

And tell your grandson, "Nice job on the vocals".

That was very well done, and totally charming! Bo has a great career ahead!

it reminded me of a song by Victor Wooten and his baby Kaila...
(due to forum rules about linking to (C) music, I won't post the link... but if you go to youtube and search for
"VICTOR WOOTEN KAILA" you'll get the right video)

I liked the way you used the snippet to create a motif/hook for the song. Very cool indeed.
Gotta love any song that has a baby in it.

I also liked the pitch editing to give the baby's jabbering a definable melody! Nice touch!

Two fat stubby and spitty little thumbs up!

Nice piece of editing, the way it all timed up. You must have put a few hours in on this one? Great result!

boehm,

I listened earlier twice and loved it.
My wife being almost a great-grandmother also enjoyed it.

You spent a lot of time mixing, editing and putting this togeter.

We both thank you for your efforts and "Bo's" premier.

It started like he was singing "Santa Baby" by Marilyn Monroe then Bo got going.
A really original song, well done.

if there were audience choice awards given to user showcase submissions, this would be my #1 choice for 2012. It is an outstanding example of the following:

1) excellent concept!
2) effective execution of concept
3) good use of PGMusic products to achieve a specific goal
4) mixing is very well done
5) good use of special effects to make Bo's random baby sounds melodic and otherwise musical
6) it has universal human appeal, and would play well in any culture and any language
7) I'd be willing to bet that most people who hear this will like it enough to play it for somebody else

There are advertising applications galore here... you should submit this to manufacturers of every baby product you can think of. It is not only charming, it is very attention-getting, which is exactly the goal of advertising. I can easily imagine people coming from other rooms to watch a commercial in which this song is employed.

Hi Guenter,

I don't know how you manage to come up with your ideas but this was brilliant. One of the most creative uses of BIAB I've ever heard.

I thoroughly enjoyed the listen!

All the best,
Noel

BRILLIANT bo, you really should send this song to some record companies. The ' cute ' factor alone should make it an instant novelty hit.
Well done

Guenter,

Outstanding!!! I almost missed this one. I have been working so many hours the past few months. I'm glad I took the time to listen today! Very cute. As a proud "Pawpaw" of 4 grandchildren, this one just melts my heart!

Very innovative. Thanks for sharing it!

SongPicker Enhancements in Band-in-a-Box® 2020 for Mac!

The Band-in-a-Box® SongPicker has been enhanced with our newest 2020 version!

The SongPicker now builds faster for large song lists (>30K and up to 60,000 songs). The [Song] button (or the [Open] button) now has 3 additional menu items to launch the SongPicker.

- Open SongPicker in Current Folder: This opens the SongPicker in the current folder of the last loaded song.
- Open SongPicker in Home Folder: This opens the SongPicker in the home folder, which is Applications/Band-in-a-Box/MySongs or as set in the SongPicker.
- Open SongPicker in Favorite Folder: This launches the Favorite Folder dialog which allows you to choose any previously used folder where a song was loaded from, and then open the SongPicker in that folder.

In the SongPicker, there is a new “Open in Home” option. If this is enabled, the SongPicker will always open in the home folder instead of the current folder when you press the default [Song] button to open the SongPicker.

Searching for songs matching a chord progression or melody has been enhanced. There are three new checkboxes: "Key must match exactly," "Chord Extension must match exactly", and "Time Signature must match."

Click here to jump to the SongPicker subject in our New Features video to learn more. (32:11)

(read more about this feature in our Band-in-a-Box 2020 for Mac Online Upgrade Manual.)

New "Feature Browser" in Band-in-a-Box® 2020 for Mac

Band-in-a-Box® has so many features! We add 50 new ones with every version, so you may have forgotten all the different things that Band-in-a-Box® can do. Fortunately, with the release of Band-in-a-Box® 2020 we've solved this issue by added a Feature Browser!

How does it work? Access this feature by clicking on the [?] button on the main screen of the program or pressing the / Enter keys on the Chord Sheet. This dialog lists many features of the program and allows you to browse them, find the feature by text filter, read descriptions about the feature, find how to launch the feature, access to the online information or video about the feature, and do more.

Examples of a few situations where this feature is helpful:

-You know about a feature but don't know how to find it. Just type a part of the feature name and you'll see the hotkeys, menu, and toolbar info on how to launch it. For example, if you want to launch the Chord Builder but don’t know how to do it, type "builder" in the text filter, and you will quickly find the Chord Builder.
-You are exploring available features for Band-in-a-Box. For example, if you are a guitar player, type the word "guitar" and you'll see what's available.
-You prefer "one-stop-shopping" and would like to launch features from the same dialog.
-You are learning the program and like to browse or watch videos about topics you're interested in.
You can't remember hotkeys and want to review them.

Watch this new feature in action when you jump to the subject in our New Features video: 10:20 - New Feature - Feature Browser

(read more about this feature in our Band-in-a-Box 2020 for Mac Online Upgrade Manual.)
