Hi Floyd,

Well that got my toes a-tappin' this blue-sky Sunday morning. What a terrific song. The words complement the music perfectly and flow really well. The lyric content is excellent and very engaging. It was so easy to imagine the whole "sitting in a bar" scenario. The line that stood out most to me was "if you wanna absolutely, positively, truly fall in love". I loved the way it rolled off the tongue and the rhyme between 'absolutely' and 'truly'.

To my mind, this song is as well crafted as they come!

All the best,
Noel

Hi, Floyd !

I enjoyed your tune very much !
I must tell you that I find it
almost incredible how many variations
there seems to be to pick out when writing
and especially performing country tunes !!:)
Thank you for that one Floyd !:)

Cheers
Dani

+1 on everything already said.
The song has that slightly "tongue in cheek" Floyd humour in it that I just love (we have lost the Art of it all in the UK) and those little verbal pauses in the chorus are clever.
Personally I thought the fiddle in the Intro just before you sing a tad up in the Mix.
I noticed that you get the same problem with Outros that I get - everybody goes home and the strumming acoustic carries on playing half a bar or so. Wonder why that happens?
But who cares? Its another great Song from FJ and another for my growing Ipod library.
I play these back in the car through the radio and its a great way to hear them - so many are what I call "Road" Tunes - and this is another.
cheers
Ian

Hey Floyd,

That's a saw dust floor classic. Janice said she can hear Bad Blake (Crazy Heart) doing that number. Gives me a connection to George Strait also. Great band and mix. Sounds like you hired Brent for the session. WAY better than anything I hear on "country" radio.

Ian - thanks for all of that. That acoustic guy just doesn't know when to quit, does he... Sometimes I go back and "fix" that, but sometimes I just leave it in because I like the feel of it - sort of a lazy ending and a "..okay... how was that?..."

Bud - appreciate that - I'll have to look up Bad Blake - not a reference I am familiar with...

Josie - always appreciate you "takin' a gander..."

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
