I wrote this in December 2012 on acoustic guitar as an Americana/folk song and just changed it to a jazz thing. I like it better this way.

https://soundcloud.com/lawrence-olivier/in-love-with-you-jazz-remix

I used style Jazz Swing with piano and added 1101 electric guitar, and 763 clarinet soloist (and chopped up the solo to my liking). I mixed it in Sonar X2. The only other trac is my vocal.

Hi gruverider,

Congratulations on your first post!

This is excellent. Your singing is top notch and the arrangement and mix are incredibly professional sounding.

Music at it's best!

Ditto on all the above. It's got a open "live" sound to it.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

gruverider,

Nice! Really nice. Good song, and good production. Love your vocal style. It has a Billy Joel kind of inflection to it. I look forward to more...

I especially liked the clarinet solo. Not something I hear alot and you did a great job editting it to fit the track so well. Cool vocal and I liked the little extra grit you threw in - nice touch.

Review - Loops-with-Style PAK 2 for Band-in-a-Box® 2020

"Dr. Dave" Walker is at it again! You may remember his recent reviews of both Band-in-a-Box 2020 for Mac and Xtra Styles PAK 9 - now he has something to say about our Loops-with-Style PAK 2 - check it out: Click here to read...

With money being tight for most musicians, this is a wonderful gift for those on a limited budget. At $29, it offers months and years of fun and experimentation, bringing many ideas to fruition as songs with enough variation so that your audience doesn’t jump to "aw, that's a computer!" while still keeping the power of the software in your hands.

Thank you again Dr. Dave for the great review!

I set up an eight bar progression with some simple pushes, shots, holds, and rests for reference. Then I started auditioning styles--Three hours later, I am invigorated, inspired, and just plain smiling big. Really CHOICE! From "down to earth" to eclectic, this is a really fun pak.

Great job, folks!

Thanks Tangmo!
