I wrote and recorded this one a few years back. I added the strings from BIAB (midi 49 Strings). I played a somewhat different style back then but I've always liked this one. We've had ongoing and relentless problems getting songs to play - sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. Soundcloud has no suggestion what the problem might be. If anyone is wondering, I played this on a Fender Tele through a Peavey Nashville 112 amp.

I could not get SC to load your page or the song -- just hung up. I've also had a ton of problems with them including bad quality when it works. Been hosting our songs on our website lately.
I'll try again I later today. .
And most importantly, hope Di is doing better!!

Thanks for the kind comments. Will be back late tonight to answer everyone. We're headed out of town to watch our grandson play in a baseball tournament.
Also, I posted the Soundclick link to the song since J*B couldn't get the Soundcloud link to play (I have that problem all the time!). The only difference between the Soundclick link and the Soundcloud link is the Soundclick link doesn't have the extra BIAB strings I applied to the Soundcloud version. The applied BIAB strings (Instrument: 49 Strings) are very subtle and the Soundclick version is 95% the same ... the other music is identical.

Hello Greg,
Thank you for those very kind comments! The composing part was much more difficult than the playing part. The guitar track was done in just two takes. But it took me almost two weeks to get the chords the way i wanted them and then decide which parts would be played on the piano and which parts would be played on the guitar. Although I'm not real happy with the drums, I no longer have that music program, so can't go back and change them. But, all in all, i think it came out pretty decent.

We're not the biggest fans of Soundcloud. We've had ongoing and relentless problems getting songs to play -
Set up a BOX.com account. I have used Box for a few things and like it pretty nicely. Unlike soundcloud and soundclick, I believe people need to have the specific link to the song to hear it on Box......whereas anyone can drop in to your other sites and hear the music......Of course, that depends if you want them to be able to do that....or not. Drinking alone again? They have an organization that helps with that. Seriously, a good song. Very enjoyable listen.

I listened to the soundcloud version -- nice playing! Swap out the drums, though, with some real drums and it will sound even better.

So glad you enjoyed this one! As I mentioned to someone else, the playing was relatively simple ... but the original composition was very demanding. But, all in all, it came out decent. I've been gifted with a soft touch on the strings and I'm very thankful for that. It's served me well over the years.

So glad you liked it! It's one of our favorite genres to both write and perform.
I'll continue to use Soundclick for most of my/our work as I have a number of folks who drop in for a listen every time I post something new. Sending all of them a direct link would be a bit tine-consuming. They're not, for the most part, from just one or two sites. They're just individuals who seem to like my music - gotta love 'em foe that! But I might check ojut Box just to have an alternative I can count on. Thanks!

Hi Kevin! A;ways a sincere pleasure to hear from you. I'm extremely happy the song works for you and the playing was pleasant to your ears. And yeah, I mentioned to someone else in an earlier reply that the drums pretty much suck. The problem I have is that I no longer have that old program, thus I don't have the individual tracks. So, I cannot strip[ out the drums and replace them with "real" drums  . All I have is the final sterao mix-down. Thanks for the kind words!
