Hello everyone,

This is our third contribution. The song is called 3 Minute Waltz. It is loosely based on Chopin's Minute Waltz.
We used two different styles and doubled some of the realtracks.
This is the link:

3 Minute Waltz

Used realtracks:
Piano Rythm Country Waltz
522 Guitar Acoustic Fingerpicking
String Quartet, Rhythm PopChamber Ev 085
528 Guitar Acoustic Fingerpicking Hank

Used Styles:
34 BG SlowSty. 3/4 BluegrassSlowWaltz
POPNOS.Sty Poppiano 12-8 Ballad

Hope you like it,
Regards,
R & AM

Thanks Scott.
Just listened to your "Lawn chair". Really nice song. But the chair will have to wait until tomorrow, 'cause it's 0.30 AM here and....raining ;-)

I like the song, and the work you both put into it.

The video almost looked like it synced up in a few rare places.... that was distracting. Like trying to watch a Japanese movie with English voices dubbed in.

I might consider providing an "audio only" link.

The only crit I have is that there should be a slight bit more crispness to the overall mix as well as and in particular on the vox.

Aside from that minor EQ issue..... very well done and delicate song.

Add nothing that adds nothing to the music.
You can make excuses or you can make progress but not both.

The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.

Hello Guitarhacker,

Thanks for your comments. Yes, just by chance some scenes in the video are almost in sync, totally by accident we might add.
We like adding videos to our music to enhance the feeling of the song. Anne-Marie does most of the work here. In this case we used public domain video and it's quite a search to get proper fitting images that add something to the music.
We realize that there is a downside to all of this, the quality of the mix tends to degrade quite a bit when uploading it to YouTube.
In the future we probably will also put an occasional audio-only mix online, on SoundCloud for instance. And we agree, that in some cases a video might be distracting.
As for a more crispier sound, that's a good tip. On the vocals, however, that might be a bit of a problem. Rob has quite a sharp 'sss' while singing. We always use a de-esser for this, but putting more high-frequencies in the mix will also boost these sharp 'sss's. Maybe you have a good tip for us here?

Regards,
R & AM
