Good job. I'm impressed repeatedly how well Janice interprets songs. Just listened to another of her vocals on a song done back in January she helped Floyd Jane with. Completely different vibe but she nailed it and in turn, nailed it on this one too. I don't want to overlook the great instrumental performance either. The vocals, mix, writing were all in the pocket on this.

Great balance in the arrangement. Very nice lead guitar. Nice bluesy vocals by Janice and love her phrasing. A satisfying flow to the whole song. Really woke me up this morning! Cheers.

Wow!! I was sold from the first guitar lick, and never let down! So sweet, soulful, and deliciously delivered! Great stuff! The only thing I would change is heart that's died to heart that's dyin'. In fact, if it were written that way, I don't know if anyone would hear the difference. It is a subtlety but logically it works better for me, even though it's not a perfect rhyme. Great work!!! Take care. Greg

Well, i like. Great vocals, great guitar work and the style really fits the song As a guitar player the only suggestion i can make is MORE GUITAR! What i mean is i would love to hear some fills answering Janice's lines ( kind of call an response). When she sings her phrases ( which she does really, really well) there are some nice gaps to insert an "Amen, i hear you". And the guitar work is top notch so why not . It is great as is, and i suppose i am just being greedy to want a more. Thanks so much for sharing some tasty music with us. Please keep 'em coming, -Patrick

Charlie & Richard, Thanks for listening and commenting. Janice does a fantastic job of fleshing out the melodies. She has an amazing gift that make these collabs a blast to work on.
R&AM & Dani, Thanks for checking in on this one and for your kind words.
Greg & Patrick, I think both of your points are valid and I appreciate you both taking the time to explain your observations. Greg, I was having trouble with that line and I think you're right. Patrick, I originally was going to add fills but after we got the vocal in there I added tremolo to the rhythm guitar and it seemed like enough to take the place of the fills. I was thinking that 3 guitar solos was enough but I definitely get what you're saying. I have been finding lately that less is more especially when the vocal takes center stage. Thanks again to you both for making those points. It's helpful.
Guenter, Thanks for your generous comments. Tom

Hi Tommy.
I loved this one from the opening few bars.
It screamed out professional even before Janice started singing, but when she did it was the icing on the cake. There was so much drama in that vocal, I can't imagine anyone doing it better.
The backing is wonderfully smooth, almost a jazz-blues and then that amazing guitar comes in and makes your ears bleed. Very, very nice playing.
Not had time to listen to much, recently, but so glad I didn't miss this one.
ROG.

Charlie Charlie, you are too kind! We are just having BIAB fun and when you have Tommy, floyd and my hubby to work it I feel like I do little of the work. Janice Great balance in the arrangement. Very nice lead guitar. Nice bluesy vocals by Janice and love her phrasing. A satisfying flow to the whole song. Really woke me up this morning! Cheers. Thank you so much! Bud and I love the blues and having a chance to explore them vocally with BIAB and collabs has been very exciting. Janice

I'm not much of a blues fan of what's sometimes called blues but I enjoyed this and think it's one of your best together.
Tommy really like the way you got the tremolo gtr to sit in the mix without it sounding too swishy. And the effects you used on Janice's fine vox are right in the pocket. Some cool guitar licks in there too.
Written, mixed, played and sung well.
Nice collab y'all.
Josie

Josie Josie , Thanks a lot. It is amazing the way you can pick out the important pieces to a song. The tremolo guitar came very late in the process after I listened to every single real tracks guitar- I added the tremolo and reverb and it quickly made the track come alive for me. Thanks again for your kind words. Tom

Y'all just make this look easy!
Terrific write, guys... a ton of emotion packed in to just a few number of lines.
Tom, your production is stellar. The combination of organ and tremolo guitar is tasty! Your leads are even tastier!!! How about doing some User Tracks with that lead!?!?!
The mix is excellent. Sounds like a band that has played together for years and was perfectly captured in the best of studios... Not sure it can be done better than this...
Janice - Wow! You have the ability to make a lyric come alive. Your phrasing in the chorus... well...just a big OMG at ya!!! You're breaking my heart...
A pure pleasure to listen to.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
