Hi. This song was written by Denny G who kindly allowed me to cover it. It has a sort of 1940's style that I like a lot. Any comments much appreciated. Cheers. https://soundcloud.com/tuigorge/id-be-a-foolRD - Country even 8 Bass - Midi from Zydeco3 style plus my Pedulla 5 string Accordion - RT 1287 Tex Mex Nothing else. I’d Be A Fool - Denny GI’d be a Fool to think that you were sor-ry Be a Fool to hope you were still there I’d be a Fool to think that you still loved me Be a Fool to think that you still care. Richard,
Good job on that. I like the sparse arrangement. The drums need to be louder during the verse... nice job on the bass...

I'm fond of sparse arrangements that leave you wanting nothing more. And this one is a great example. Nice use of the TexMex accordion also!
Enjoyed it.

Thanks for that Floyd. Lifting the drums there has filled the verse out nicely! Good call. Cheers.
Amazing Guenter but now that you mention it i can hear the alps in there. Cheers.
Thanks Janice and Bud. That texmex RT certainly fills in the gaps. Cheers.
Thanks Greg. It sort of reminded me of the boozy party songs I'd hear from the next room as a child. Cheers.
Thanks Mario. Delighted to get that toe moving. Cheers.

Richard, I like the melody of this one. Nice easy sparse arrangement. A case where less is more. Good Job. Tom

Hi, Rich !
Is it the Harmonica that brought me that Creole feel ? In any case, I like the tune and I like the lyrics ! I may be making a fool of myself too, you know !:))(grin) !!
Cheers Dani

Thanks for checking out both versions Alyn. Have been trying to limit the RT's (which are so easy to apply) to what is really needed. Cheers.
Thanks Dani. Glad you enjoyed the texmex accordian. It's one of my favorites. Enjoy your comments a lot. Cheers.

I really enjoyed your choices here. Your use of just three instruments, the accordion as the sole instrument playing chords . Really draws attention to the lyrics.
And the modulation in the last verse - a very creative touch.
You possess a very creative spirit.
much enjoyed!

User Tip: How to add drum fills without changing any other tracks
MarioD has shared some great advice when it comes to adding drum fills without changing any other tracks in your song:
There have been a number of questions asking how to add drum fills without changing any other tracks in a song. This is especially important if one is holding a chord for a few measures and wants to add a drum fill prior to the next chord. The following is how to accomplish that:
1-get the instruments/tracks to play like you want but don't worry about the drums for now.
2-generate the song.
3-freeze all tracks
4-unfreeze the drum track
5-add your fills where you want them
6-generated the song again - note this will only generate the drum track and not the frozen tracks
7- when you get the drums like you want them freeze the track

"Band-in-a-Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is, without negative connotation, a monster of a program. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. No DAW can do some of the things BIAB does, while BIAB can do a lot that DAWs do."
