Two versions of the song here, one with and one without Real tracks. The video was done about 3 years ago without RTs and I only remembered it when I re-did the song with RTs a week or so ago!! Recorded in my studio with a webcam and Serif Music plus8 It started as my best man's speech for my now dear departed mate Albert! A few pleasantries and thanks, a quick mention of how beautiful Sian (his bride) was and then ended with me saying I only speak for [song title} except I personalised it for Albert and I sat down to tumultuous applause and many insults from Albert . Sian agreed tho As long as you make love
when i was a little boy my father said to me as he took me in his arms and placed me on his knee dont prevaricate remember what I say and you wont have any trouble until your dieing day
words will come and words will go as thoughts just disappear out your mouth into those ears as you become on show so dont prevaricate remember what I said and you wont have any trouble till youre dead
years they come and years they go so fast that you loose count it takes of bits and puts bits there as you loose sight of your knees but theres something really bugging me its been running through my mind see im damned if i can remember what my father said
i racked my brains i shook my mind i turned it inside out a thunder cracked as it started to rain and it opened from above then from inside my brain suddenly got what he meant only speak for as long as you make love

I will find the original BIAB file and post the midi stuff later.
I liked your tune and your video ! You are a master of words also I see !:)) I had to use google translate for the word prevaricate, but it fits the story that you tell so brilliantly here !:))
nice! This song kind of reminds us of 'good company' from Queen. They use a ukulele there, which actually would also suit this song very fine. The RT version definitely sounds a lot clearer than the original.
Keep up the good work, R & AM

Alyn. What fun! It is great that you have two versions of the song and that you are giving them both to us to sample! I absolutely love the video. I am trying to do videos for all my original stuff and this definately gives me some ideas!

This is the only video I have made that I felt confident enough to post. But I will have a go at another with praise coming from a video artiste such as you. (I have watched some of your videos on your website) I look forward to seeing the ideas you borrow LOL
Thanks a lot for your kind comment Greg. The initial chords were reasonably simple and I had to work to get all those passing chords and can only thank BIAB for teaching me song structure, leading chordal voices and sequences
Definitely catchy! Amazing, the difference with Real Tracks. Great song and very well performed. We enjoyed our listen a lot .. both versions! best to you,
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
