Unless they make a line of very affordable headphones, as well as the high end or at least high $, this may backfire. Most consumers do not care enough about sound quality to the point of wanting to pay a high $ for headphones. I do not know statistics, but I would think most folks listen to their music through a pair of cheap earbuds, as this is what I usually see around town, plugged into phones or pads. There will always be serious music enthusiasts who want the improved sound quality. Some of those may balk as well if the headphones can not be cross platform for their other older music devices. There is nothing worse than paying a boat load of money for something and then realizing you need to buy an adapter that cost about as much before you can use it, LOL! Thanks for sharing the link, I always like to read up on the latest gadgets and tech news.

.. and how many people use it to listen to it at home through their stereo system? This only is good for the music from iTunes where new music is stored in the necessary quality.
The only goal is to make more money. Maybe it works, maybe it won't work.
Let's wait and see.

If you are going to read this article, read it carefully. The author has no real evidence for his claim. My bet is that he will not acknowledge the failure of his speculation when his prediction comes to nothing.

I ma no techy, but I think this is the new USB plug which is due out in a year or so, I don't think its confined to Apple. You can plug it in either way up.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
