Guenter, thanks for the kind words. I appreciate your feedback!

Dean, great to hear from you. You hold a unique position on the forum with your rich perspective of jazz standards. I always love to listen to your posts, not to mention your great guitar playing!

Robert, thanks for the compliment. This is particularly pleasing as your production quality is always excellent!

Take care all, Greg

Don't change ANYTHING.

I agree 1,000%. This is a keeper as is.

Great work here.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

ROG, thanks for the kind words-more than I deserve I'm sure. Means a lot coming from you since your productions are always excellent. Not sure if I commented on the last one (meant to). It was very 50's influenced. Some said BBs, but I thought it was kind of Frankie Valley meets somebody. BG vocals were great and the whole tune was a treat!! Anyway, thanks again for listening and commenting.

Herb, thanks for the nice comments. I love what you're doing lately-really diverse and uniformly excellent! Always appreciate your thoughtful feedback. Your comments on one of my songs (Take me down) remain the greatest compliment I've ever received. Thanks much.

Josie, always love hearing from you (feedback and new songs). You're really doing a lot of cool things. Checked out a bit on your website of songs on Itunes? Curious how hard it is to get any sales without serious promotion. Whether or not that's working yet, you're doing great stuff in a lot of different genres. And, I appreciate your encouragement of my efforts. Means a lot to me!

Take care all. Greg

J @ B, thanks for all of your attention and kind words! You guys are a great positive force on the forum. Always a treat to see what you're up to, and love your thoughtful feedback.

Pat, it has been great getting your feedback on my stuff, and I always read what you have to say about others' songs. You really give the listens a lot of thought and your analysis is detailed and spot on.

Dani, nice to hear from you again, and I loved your new one-different for you but still you. Glad your life seems to be going so well for you recently! You are the heart of the forum. Never go away.

Take care all. Greg

Alyn, thanks for the nice comments. I never really thought of the Cars but I can see the resemblance. They were a cool band. I remember listening to that first record a lot. I always loved DRIVE-infectious groove and interesting lyric. If you haven't heard it for a while, you should check it out again. I love your frequently quirky, always fresh and creative, and inspired songs. You are truly creative and inspirational. Always a treat to hear what you've cooked up. Keep posting!

Scott, thanks for the kind words. They really mean a lot to me. Thanks for listening and commenting!

Mario D, thanks again for the positive words. And, thanks for your comments on Destination Paradise. I didn't want to bump it back into the conversation for fear of looking like I was self promoting. If you want to hear some great tunes in this style, check out Michael Franks who inspired this song. He's incredibly clever and the music is sweet. I'd listen to Tiger in the Rain, or Blue Pacific. Also want to say I'm digging your textural instrumentals. Your stuff is incredibly emotion evoking! Keep it up!

Take care all. Greg

Greg,

I'm late to the party, so just allow me to echo what everyone else has said.

Excellent song, performance, mix - everything.

You may be late to the party, but you are always a very welcome guest! Much appreciate your comments. Thanks for the info on the mic/pre on your last tune. The vocal sounded great. You got me thinking about trying to snag one of those mics off ebay! Thanks for commenting. Take care. Greg

Excellent arrangement with well thought-out variations that really keep kept me engaged. The backing vocals make this stand out in my mind. You have that sought after wall of sound going on and the the vocals really shine. Well done! Oh yeah, the guitar is cool too:)

It's a very good song!! Applause.

On a scale of 1 to 10, this is a definite "11"! I caught the EC retro vibe too. Well done throughout and I agree with everything others have said.

Keep em comin'!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
