Hello All,
I'm looking for a simple, all EV 8 piano like from the old 50s tunes. Have checked RTs, Super midi and tried searching midi styles but am probably not entering the proper search terminology.
All suggestions greatly appreciated.

but am probably not entering the proper search terminology. Probably, as I'd gladly help you but from the description given I have no idea what you're asking for. What exactly is for you an "EV 8 piano"?

Even 8 piano would be something like the beginning of Elton John's Crocodile Rock where the piano is playing a chord on every up and down beat of every quarter note.
I can't think of any other specific examples; brain freeze. lol.

EV 8 refers to a description of a style: even eighth notes (as opposed to swing, or 16th notes)

Oh, I see. I'm too much of a gearhead. EV, for me, meant "Electro Voice". LOL! Matt, thank you for the definition. Yours very truly, PS: Still enjoying "Brazilian Wish".

Try a Fats Domino midi style or some of the New Orleans styles.

Hey Jim,
Thanks for your suggestions. I originally checked out the New Orleans styles and they were just too busy for my present project.
I found a midi file that played the same basic EV 8 piano pattern over all the chords -just a typical 50s chord progression- and created a style from it.
My original post wasn't very clear.

I did a quick search in the style picker for "Crocodile Rock" and got several matches that may be close to what you are looking for (I didn't have time to check them out myself):
=LYNY_GR.STY. Stadium, w/ res.guit (120 RT)

Hello Ed,
The LYNRYD1 style is pretty close to what I'm looking for. I did a search for crocodile rock; don't know how I missed them all.
Sometimes when I search, the cursor doesn't always end up at the top to search all styles.
