So this is a tune from last season.... well, I posted it last year and .... well....

Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year to you all....

THE BEST CHRISTMAS

This is one of the two songs I entered into the Reindeer Ruckus Christmas song, songwriting contest in the other forum...

Have a listen and enjoy the song.

Herb, this is a top notch, professional production from start to end. It could make the Christmas rotation on every country station across the land. Glad I listened and thanks for posting. I wasn't on the User Forum much last year and missed the first round. Second round knockout for me.

Hi Herb,

Very entertaining. I agree with Charlie, the production radiates confidence and competence. It's top notch. That's a great chord that you play at "I love you" in the chorus.

All the best for Christmas,
Noel

Really fun song!! Arrangement works perfectly and the lyrics are simple, sweet, and straight ahead! Is that you on the guitar? Vocal is top notch. All around great song and production! Take care. Greg

Charlie, Noel, Scott, R & AM, Greg: thanks for listening to this tune....

I do not recall the real tracks used or the style without going back and pulling the folder.... However, this is 100% real band tracks.

I do remember that this is Brent Mason on the guitar and I used 5 renderings of the same RB track, then used envelopes in Sonar to grab bits and pieces of each track to build the composite solo. No copy and paste, just selecting which of the 5 tracks would play at a given time. That was some fun editing.

Hi Herb!

I gave this 5 stars on the other forum, but for some reason I can't get it to play here. I've been having that problem a lot lately. But anyway, you already know I like it... just wanted to weigh in with a vote of confidence on this forum too!

Hey Herb,

The first Christmas song we've intentionally listened to this year. Glad we did - it's a super song with great production and a fabulous arrangement. Made us smile!

An early Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Uncommon RealTracks Instruments for Band-in-a-Box®

Today is Uncommon Instrument Awareness Day.

Examples of "uncommon instruments" include anything from Spoons to the Wheelharp to the Singing Ringing Tree, and more!
(there's probably more instruments out there that we DON'T know than we DO know)

Although our RealTracks collection doesn't include many 'uncommon instruments', we do offer some pretty unique choices!

On top of the usual varieties we offer for Piano, Guitar, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Bass, Tuba, Trumpet, Trombone, and more - our RealTracks library also offers a nice selection of Shakuhachi and Kalimba - there's even a Koto RealTrack included in Set 212!

Kalimba: RealTracks Set 271
Koto: RealTracks Set 212
Shakuhachi: RealTracks Sets 193 & 212

What's the most surprising RealTrack Instrument that you've come across?

Review - Loops-with-Style PAK 2 for Band-in-a-Box® 2020

"Dr. Dave" Walker is at it again! You may remember his recent reviews of both Band-in-a-Box 2020 for Mac and Xtra Styles PAK 9 - now he has something to say about our Loops-with-Style PAK 2 - check it out: Click here to read...

With money being tight for most musicians, this is a wonderful gift for those on a limited budget. At $29, it offers months and years of fun and experimentation, bringing many ideas to fruition as songs with enough variation so that your audience doesn’t jump to "aw, that's a computer!" while still keeping the power of the software in your hands.
