I am using a ASUS I7 laptop and Windows 7, plus BIAB 2007. I bought a M-Audio M-Track and got everything hooked up according to directions. I am using a M-Audio 49ES keystation as my midi controller to the computer and BIAB. The 49ES is powered by a USB cable to the computer. I tried it with and without using a midi cable from the keyboard to the M-Track. I also disconnected the USB cable from the keyboard to the computer and powered the keyboard with a 12 V power transformer. In every configuration and every setting I could think of to try, I still got latency that rendered the setup unusable. I am open to any suggestions anyone has and will definitely try whatever is suggested. I just want my setup to work, but so far, I haven't had any luck. HELP!!I think I have described my setup accurately but I will answer any questions you may have. Many Thanks for any recommendations.

Hi Phestus Finding the correct driver settings in BiaB can sometimes be confusing. From the MIDI / Audi Drivers setup, do you have the M-Audio M-Track set to use ASIO drivers? See below:
BIAB & RB2024 Win.(Audiophile), Sonar Platinum, Cakewalk by Bandlab, Izotope Prod.Bundle, Roland RD-1000, Synthogy Ivory, Kontakt, Focusrite 18i20, KetronSD2, NS40M Monitors, Pioneer Active Monitors, AKG K271 Studio H'phones
Yep! I tried it with MME and with ASIO. I was sure MME wouldn't work but when ASIO didn't help I was getting desperate. Thanks anyway. Like I said, I'm open to anything I haven't already tried. Obviously, you won't know what I have tried so please send anything that may come to mind. DESPERATE IN COLORADO....
I had an M-Audio Fast Track Ultra and it had horrible latency issues. I finally resolved them by going to the M-Audio ASIO driver Control Panel and DECREASING the buffers to the lowest possible setting.
Setting the buffers LOW seemed counter-intuitive from a Computer Science standpoint, but it got the latency workable.
Incidentally, you do have the M-Track M-Audio ASIO drivers specifically installed on that computer? The driver I am using comes from the file: "Install M-Audio M-Track Series Windows_1.0.6.exe'
