My new Rick 12 was delivered today, and I immediately recorded it into Between the Lines, I had left the mix set up waiting for it. I laid down two new tracks, arpeggios and rhythm on the Rickenbacker. So hopefully this is the final definitive mix of the song, tell me what you think.

IMHO Will, it sounds absolutely great with the Rick parts! I know you think it's finished, but consider bringing the lead vocal just a bit further forward and up in the mix, and the backing vocals as well to go along with it. Excellent!

12 string is one of my favorite instruments. It added a lot to the song. Enjoyed it.

Roger McGuinn would be happy with that. Liked it before like it now. The Rickenbacker sounds great.

Nice touch. That solidifies this as a classic 60's genre ...sounds like The Byrds in so many ways.

i listened with your comment in mind, and decided the vocals are in a good place. You can hear all the words, and that's the important thing. I want these songs to be played loud, and don't want my vocal getting in the way of the track.

Will,

This sounded good before, but the Rick just kicks up the energy level, and makes it even better!

Really like it.

yeh,

that sounds really good, I love the sound of the Ricki 12 and re-ordered the strings on my 12str acoustic to the Rickenbaker way!

I enjoyed the listen before but now it has wings grin

Cool tune, took me back in time and to a time when music was really fun.

Really put me in mind of The Byrds, and for some strange reason the 13th floor Elevators, though it does not sound like them.

Cheers,

Billy

Excellent listen. Nice. I love the sound of the Rick but I really like the background harmony tracks.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
