Here's a handy way to copy sections of chords (and melodies) using drag and drop.
Drag a part marker (or any bar #) to another bar on the screen.
This will copy bars starting at the bar that you dragged, continuing to the next part marker, and inserting them at the bar that you dropped.

Here's a video showing it...

http://screencast.com/t/JlsWQ53G

Here's a second video, showing that you can drag any bar number to another bar number (not just a part

marker), and also shows use of 'k' (kwik copy) command.

http://screencast.com/t/thoZUkxNTUzv

If you type 'k' followed by N# of bars, it will copy the last N bars to the destination
e.g.
k4 <ENTER>

If you type 'k' followed by N# of bars, followed by a comma and the source bar # (M), it will copy the last N bars to the destination, starting at bar M

e.g.
k4,5 <ENTER>
This will copy 4 bars to the current position, copying from bar 5

Excellent! I know I've used the typical ways, but these two ways will come in handy. I just have to remember them! My biggest challenge is remembering all the TONS of key strokes in different software. I usually just use the generic ones or resort to menus. My memory isn't what it used to be. But I can surely remember to drag & drop! Thanks for this!

Thanks for this great tip. I like to take the last four bars of a number to use as an intro, Previously, I could not copy the melody; only the chords. This neatly solves that problem!

Been using BIAB for years and these are two of the neatest tips I've seen.

Thanks for your post that I just now have seen. I do intros the same way except sometimes mine are a few bars longer-depends on he song phrasing. Doing intros this way solves the pickup issue also.
