Good stuff. I've seen this before and I subscribe to his site as well as purchased one of his tutorial DVD's.
For me, lesson # 1 is sort of reliant having some good gear because of the inspiration I took away about home recording from an article by Roger Mcguinn years ago about how he had evolved from exclusively doing studio recording to making many of his tracks in his home studio. He stated most of the things Graham does in lesson 1 but did stress that (maybe in the time period he wrote his article which was in the days when home gear was not as professional or advanced as it has reached today) having a high quality microphone and interface were key to being able to record a track that could easily transition from the home to the professional studio. I've adhered to that principle since - applying it recently to purchasing what is the highest quality midi sound module I could justify purchasing for my home studio productions in order to take advantage of the amazing amount of quality midi files available today.
