I'm trying to find out what realtracks are on the band demo for Nashville2Beat^ inRealDrums Picker.
1) When I enter the adresse shown in the yellow area at the bottom in my browser nothing comes up!
2) When I play the Nashville2Beat demo on PGmusics website it's another demo.
and so on, and so on.....
The point is, when I hear a band demo for under realdrums picker and I would like to reproduce the groove and sound it seems very complicated if not impossible.
There should be a button (3) in the lower right corner of the window that say COMPATIBLE SONG STYLE
RD DEMO.... SONG DEMO..... BB STYLE
clicking them will open a new window that shows the styles that use this drum style.... that will narrow it down.
However, if you go ahead and select the style.... BB will now display the instruments in that style in the MIXER and PATCHES window in the upper right side in BB. Whether it sounds like the demo will depend on the chord progression, the key, and the tempo you have selected. In addition, there will always be variation in BB and the way it renders the tracks. It's rare that you would end up with something exactly like the demo..... close is possible but exact? Likely never.
I don't know if that helps or not.
You can find my music at: www.herbhartley.com Add nothing that adds nothing to the music. You can make excuses or you can make progress but not both.
The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.
it could be that the MAC version doesn't have that function.
However, when I clicked there, that really only opened another list. And clicking on the items in the list, the styles didn't seem to do anything that I could see.
What helped me the most was double clicking the style which selected it to the BB song I had open. At that point, the instruments used in the style were displayed in the mixer panel where you can change the volume, panning and even the instruments.
If you want to duplicate the song in the demo.... first, get the progression written down so you can insert the proper chords. That allows it to sound reasonably close to the demo. Tempo and key are also crucial.

But progression, tempo, keysignatur and so on, is not the problem I think.
What I'm after is the pre-made styles where all the instruments sound great together from the start.
I wish that somebody from PGmusic would recognize my wish. Spending time on putting instruments together that 'might' be groovy and sound good is almost like playing the lottery, I think.
These beats are not was is being played, when I press the band button in the real drums picker. I got this message from PGMusic:
"Hello Mads,
I apologize, but there is no way to determine which tracks are used in the Band demos for the RealTracks that you have. The demos are provided in an audio format and are not able to be opened in Band-in-a-Box, showing the instruments used. There is no way for us to determine this. Can you confirm you are using the 2015 version of the program? When you open the program, does it say 2015? You can also check this by going to Band-in-a-Box | About Band-in-a-Box.
Thank you, Clayton PG Music Inc. Important Reminder: Please include all previous correspondence when replying to this message. "
So....as you can see it's not possible to find out how the great sound we hear in the demo is made. Frankly, whats the point of having the demo then......???
Sorry that did not work for you. However, just yesterday I learned of a feature in the PC Biab version that may be able to help if the feature is also available in the MAC version. In the PC Biab, I can select and open the Window menu, then select Generate Soundtrack.
Once in Soundtrack, I can select and open any demo file and Biab will open an SGU/MGU file with the chords, tempo, instruments chosen for that style. It will also open performance files, 101 riff files, any existing files.
If Soundtrack is available to you in your MAC version, you may be able to open the demo there. If your MAC version does not have Soundtrack and if PC Biab SGU/MGU files are compatible with MAC Biab, if you can find someone with the PC version and try to match up the particular audio demo you're looking for and they can get it through Soundtrack for you.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
