Nice pleasing song

Hi Guitarhacker,

Thank you for your comment. Yes, I think there is not a little commonality between Japanese and Celtic traditional music so I agree with you.

Hi Hiroshi,

I prefer the vocal version. The vocaloid
sounds quite natural.
Enjoyed this a lot.

The orchestral version is beautiful, absolutely beautiful.

And then the vocaloid version WOW that too was beautiful but sounding so different. Thanks for linking both, both are excellent.

I liked both versions a lot! Very beautiful. Please submit all the vocals in Japanese you would like. They are beautiful. We have enough vocals in English to last us a million years. More French and Japanese German and Spanish please--every language for that matter.

Hi Hiroshi,

We like both versions, but the instrumental one appeals to us more, probably due to the strings.
The music is beautiful, very suitable for a poem.

Hi Rob and Anne-Marie,

Thank you for your comment. I am glad you like my songs. I am especially happy to know that you like strings ensemble.

*******************************************

Because your comments somehow refer to comparison between two versions, I will explain some background now.

Some time ago, I wanted to make a song with lyrics and vocal. I took my favorite poem to use as its lyrics and decided to use Vocaloid singer "Mew" as its vocalist. Mew is my favorite because her voice is very natural and attractive. To emphasize the vocal, I made its accompaniment as simple as possible. I think Mew's voice well suited Japanese traditional song style.

I also made its instrumental version as a kind of independent song from the vocal version. To emphasize the melody line, I made it as a strings ensemble music.

When I posted them, I did not expect Japanese vocal song well accepted by the forum members. Now I am encouraged to post more Japanese songs to the forum.

I hope this is appropriate for the supplemental reply to your comments. Thank you again for your listening and feedback.

Hiroshi

Hiroshi,

The instrumental is very well done. A nice listen.

I like the vocal version. The vocal is beautiful and sounds more organic (human, real) than any vocaloid I've ever heard. Nice.

floyd,

Thank you for your comment. I am glad to know you enjoyed both versions, especially you like the vocaloid version.

I used "Mew" as a vocaloid singer. I think her voice is very natural compared with others and also attractive to me though I have tested just a few of them. Probably many of them are made a little bit different from natural human voices intentionally, e.g. like animation characters, to emphasize their own personalities.

Hi Hiroshi,

Very very nice song and arrangement. I like the vocal version better than the orchestrated version. The Mew Vocaloid sounds amazingly real!

Hi Chris,

Thank you for your comment. I am glad you like my songs. The vocal version was just made for the poem "First Love", so its melody should best fit to the song , and I myself also like it very much.
I like Mew' voice so much as well. I am happy you like the vocal version better, then.

Hiroshi

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
