https://youtu.be/rc9heyV43Xo?list=PLho97Sa8w6yO465O-DJfQZ39ci69DdCx-This is a "Nashville Jazz Cats" original composition about a woman in the Tennessee State Women's Prison. The inmates nicknamed her "Cornbread". This is the story she told on TV as to how she acquired this nickname. This was recorded using biab 10. The style is not so relevant as real tracks do not adhere to the styles so much. Drums "Jazz' was used. The Jazz Upright Bass, and Jazz Piano were also used as was a blues rhythm guitar. The blues solo guitar was recorded to Cool Edit Pro, edited and the parts needed re-recorded on the fly back into the multi track recorder. The only effect that was added is re-verb. The Brass section is my Yamaha WX5 & Vl70m. The Vocalist are Ken Sanders & Cheri McCormick. My Recording partners "The Nashville Jazz Cats" A Lawson Tube mic set in omni mode was used to capture the vocals which were recorded simultaneously ( not multi-tracked )

Dave Great arrangement. The breaks really are excellent.
Great story line too!

Dave,
Cool stuff. Horns are nice. Good vocals. Good mix.
You did not say who played the guitar (nice).
Well done.

The Guitar is one of the soloist guitars on biab 10. I generated a guitar solo. I then muted all of the biab instruments and recorded the generated solo into a multi track recorder. The complete guitar solo was then recorded to Cool Edit Pro. In Cool Edit I took pieces of the generated solo and re-recorded back to the multi track with the rest of the song.

Nice blues song Dave. Excellent vocals from both of your recording partners. I like the bass and you did a great job with the horns. Who wrote the lyrics? Enjoyed listening. Sonny

Hi Dave.
A very authentic jazz blues.
Great backing track, but what made it for me was the vocals - simply superb from both Ken and Cheri.
Wonderful stuff.
ROG.

Very cool!! Live and natural sound. Some folks can use BIAB to capture a live feel (part of it is a great vocal like you have here) and you have certainly done that. Excellent!! Take care. Greg

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
