Hello everyone I'm new to BIAB and I just had a quick question. Is it possible to have a single strum of a chord and let it ring out? Sorry if this is an easy thing to accomplish but as simple as BIAB is meant to be it can definitely still be overwhelming!

Welcome!
The first thing to try is to put three periods after the chord. That means, hold the chord. This will hold up to several measures at least; it depends on the instrument and the tempo.
If you only want some instruments to hold, add the letters of the other instruments you do NOT want held. For example, Dm7...db will hold a Dm7 for the piano, guitar and strings but not the drums and bass (d & b).
Try that and report back.

Firstly, welcome to the forums
You could do this with MIDI, but if you just wanted the guitar itself to strum with no other instruments, you could use a Hold Chord. Imagine the chord is F, then enter F...g
The ellipsis means that the chord is a Held Chord, expect for the instrument you choose to be played (in this case g=guitar).

Sorry guys one more question is it possible to select which way the realtrack strums? Those held chords are great but is it possible to have a rung out up strum as well? Thanks again.

- LCD LCD, not as far as I can tell with RealTracks unless that was the way the strum was recorded. You could definitely do this with MIDI though. Although the track can only be MIDI or RealTrack, i.e. you cannot have a MIDI section inserted in the middle of a RealTrack.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
