Had this hook {I forgot to remember to forget about you } for years . Finally did something with it. Needed help with verses so I got a old and dear songwrighting friend to help me out . My voice is not really suited for this but i gave it a shot anyway

I used UA FX'S.
Mixed on Reaper .
Used a little Melodyne .
Im playing the elc. guitar riff

Style is C_CLASIC.STY (Classic Country Shuffle)

Mark this is awesome!

I really like the catch phrase! Very clever! And your use of realtracks etc is very good.. seamless mix! And I especially like the signature riff you played... great tone!

You said your voices wasn't up to the task, but I tend to disagree.... you have a great voice for this kind if song!

My only nit is that the vocals sound a bit far back in the mix on my system. There's nothing there you need to hide.. please do what you must to make them more prominent!

Two thumbs up!

Mark,
Very enjoyable!
I can understand how that phrase wouldn`t let you go without fleshing it out- the rest of the lyrics are good too (I would have liked to see them as there`s some wry humour its easy to miss). As Pat said, the guitar sounds great and I was also thinking I wanted the vocals more upfront.

Cheers,
Robert

An enjoyable listen. Mark.

The vocals are good! (just need to be turned up a tad).

Cool guitar licks (and tone).

I had the same thought. Really nice song!! You did an excellent job with the vocals but they are kind of buried. Would love to see the lyrics printed. Guitar is way cool! Great job!! Take care. Greg

Hello Mark,

Yes, the vocals could be a little bit louder indeed.
But definitely a smooth sounding song!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
