Greg Achord posted a song titled "Run". Here's one that I just finished with the same title. Great minds? grin

Run
©2016 Robert Randall Burke

Somewhere in this world
There's a place for you and me
Somewhere where the sun shines
Somewhere we can be free

Let the devil take this city
And I'll take you to the sea
We'll find a little island there
Just for you and me

Let's run
Run, run, run, run, run.

Darkness closin' round me
I could hardly see
If you hadn't found me
Who knows where I would be?
I can see another country
When I look into your eyes
Somewhere I want to be
And it made me realize...

We gotta run,
Run,run,run,run,run.

There's a shadow on this place
That's blocking out the sun
Ain't nothin' else to do
Babe, we gotta run.

Let's run
Run, run, run, run, run.

Hey Bob,

This is outstanding! Great lyrics, arrangement and I love the way you use your upper register in various places throughout the song. Excellent!

Hi Bob.

Fabulous!

In particular, well your vocal as always, just so full of emotion and obvious commitment to the lyric.
What else? The arrangement - full of space and yet at the same time full of ornamentation, creating interest all the way through. Loved how the bass would drop the octave to the bottom E at times.
And the harmony in the chorus - just wonderful.

All this wrapped up in the perfect mix. Hey, that sounds like a very expensive reverb, whatever it is.

Did I say I liked this? Maybe one of your best.

Cheers, ROG.

+1! That's sooo pretty Bob. You always sound amazing and I love that jump In the vocal on the next to last "run run run run..." - sweet.

Bob,

Your vocals have great feeling and are relaxed at the same time - a lesson in what works. I really liked the harmony on the "run, run, run" chorus.
Very enjoyable listens!

ROG,

Thanks for the nice comments. It's just a Sonitus verb that came with Sonar. I know it's over the top, but that's what I was going for.

cool song... I was trying to figure out what song this reminded me of and... well... couldn't recall the song....

I like it. Mellow. I thought the vox verb was just a tad on the wet side of things. Other than that... good work my friend.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
