I already have the doubler along with many other Wave's plug-in but for $9 this is a no brainer.
I agree that Wave's plug-ins are very good and these will add to them.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Noob question on mixing and mastering effects. They're offering me Waves Gold for $199. (funny, i could have sworn it was $149 before) Is it an amazing deal? I read that a lot of the effects are old or not that useful. Would I be better with an Izotope deal? My gut feeling is that I should just get to know what I have already, but I don't want to miss something truly special.

Izotope is what I consider to be my essential mixing and mastering kit. I bought the one that included Nectar 2 for vocals, Alloy for instruments and Ozone 7 advanced for mastering. I would not ever replace any of these as my primary tools.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
