I decided to play a little more of the instruments on this one than normal. (Piano, organ, percussion, and orchestration softsynth.) Been pretty busy lately, so hope this one comes out okay. Hope you enjoy it!

Very soothing and beautifully sung, Steve.
The production is just right- simple, with just enough instrumentation to keep the flow.
The stately melody and natural imagery reminded me of Jesse Winchester`s ballad Biloxi.

Absolutely beautiful Steve! Your vocal is outstanding (along with the backing vocals). Your playing sounds great also. But more than that, the song is great and will touch many people. Thanks, Torrey.

What a wonderful song. Beautiful. I really enjoyed the harmonies on this one and for me, everything sets perfectly in the mix. You have produced a very compelling write to go with the excellent arrangement. I truly enjoyed this.

"And if I listen close, I hear the angels' song
And in the midnight hour I know it won't be long
Til the sunshine ushers in another dawn
And bigger dreams are born"

A very nice write, Steve. Beautifully sung. Lovely arrangement.

A terrific listen. Always like how "comfortable" your vocals are. Sincere, confident, strong.

Hello, Steve

Very beautiful song!
Your main vocal and the backing vocals are outstanding.
As Robert said, the production is just right- simple, with just enough instrumentation to keep the flow.
Hammond organ solo is very pleasant.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Thanks, Robert! I appreciate your comments. I went back and listened to Biloxi after reading your comment. I haven't listened to that one in decades! I can see where you get the comparison. I take that as a real compliment. Winchester was a good writer!

Wow, so good! Everything about this is top notch. Love the vocals, especially when you brought in the harmonies. Great hearing the live instruments in there also. Mix is perfect!

Steve, I am late and everything that I wanted to say already has been said, i.e beautiful song, outstanding lyrics and vocal, great job on playing your own instruments, etc etc etc.

All I can add is if this were playing on the radio I would immediately go out and buy the CD.

This is definitely a keeper.

Steve,

This is the epitome of simplicity at its most beautiful. A superb arrangement and vocals that are so comfortable for the ears and the mind. This is splendid in so many ways. Standing "O" from both of us.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
