Hello, Janice & Bud and Tom
Very cool gospel song with great vocal! I heard wah wah pedal steel for the first time. Tight bass drums and the background vocals are pleasant. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.
Shigeki Adachi Thanks Shigeki. Tom's amazing on that steel! J&B

I'm late to the party and everything that I wanted to say has already been said so all that I can add is This is a keeper for sure.
You should be extremely proud of this one.

Man!!!!! First of all, thanks for posting this again, I missed it the first time around.
Great write and great vocal from Janice, man, when those background vocals come in!!! Pure heaven.
And the guitar work from Tom floored me, just stunning good.
Excellent collaboration, very much enjoyed! This might have been their first collab and it showed us all how well things were gonna click. Tom's guitar / steel and those choir loops just nailed the tune. Glad you liked it. I was pleased to have played the tiny role of engineering the vocal really. Bud

J&B and Tom, A fine collaboration. Lapsteel is one of my favourite instruments - this is the first time I`ve heard it used with wah wah and it sounds great! Lovely soulful vocal by Janice. The background southern church music video is amazing.
Robert Thanks for mentioning the sacred steel video - it is amazing indeed. I remain appreciative of Tom making me aware of that tradition. Bud

Wow! That's fantastic.
And not to change it, but I really think (as has been suggested) it should be titled "Angel Flying Next To Me".
Great song and Janice' voice is perfect on it.
Thanks and we appreciate you listening! Janice

Great collaboration by some of my favorites here on the forum! I like pretty much anything you guys do, as individuals, and as a collab, this just really works. Great guitar work, and Janice, you always nail it!
Thanks for sharing this!
Steve
J & B and Tom,
This is good stuff. I enjoyed the video as well. Some very cool & unique steel work! I played with a steel guitar player in the 1980's that came from a southern blues kinda background and he was really good at turning an OD pedal on and wailin' on some slide licks.... He's gone now, but that sure took me right back to him. Thanks for that Tom.
Great job all around!
Greg Thank y'all so much! Janice

One of your best I think.

Hi, Ms. Janice; hello, Bud...
"Missed the Message" is instantly inspiring, and in more than ways than one.
The laid-back tempo of the music, the placid chord changes, along with Ms. Janice's vocal a-lighting on the instrumentals like a dove retrieving an olive branch from the water's surface, all combines to create a powerful and persistent image of the river evoked in the lyrics.
At song's end, the impression is timeless, and the tone is melancholy, yet hopeful.
"Missed the Message"? Nah, I don't think so! More like you passed it on to us...
I think springtime is having a very creative impact on members of the User's Forum!
Sincerely,
LOREN (a.k.a. "bluage")

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
