Now this is my kind of country! I can feel this one tugging at my heart - you brought an amazing vocal delivery from the soul. I can literally hear the sincerity in this. Thanks so much for sharing, Floyd smile

Non intellectual, intellectual, pseudo intellectual, poetic, not poetic -- anybody of about any ilk can relate to the pathos in this write and the powerful vocal performance that delivers it.

Janice says the imagery is so strong she readily pictures the folks in the bar and her at home....yep.

Immerse all the above in a high bar fj production (wonderful outro) and you've got in our opinion one of the strongest songs posted in a long time.

Kudos mr jane!!

Y'all are just too kind... thanks for such a great review.....

thirty-five is a cruel age
for an unmarried woman
when the years just refuse to slow down

Great opening for a portrait of loneliness!! This is such a well-crafted song. I love the vocal effect which has kind of an empty hall sound and the strings playing alone at the end. Such an artistic song, in creation and delivery. Wonderful Floyd!! Take care. Gre

Well written song presented in a super soundstage! The vocal performance and production may be my favorite of yours so far. The vocal occupies a space so all-it's-own - it's remarkable.

Great listen!

floyd, Good story song! We all must have a lot of songs that are waiting to emerge from past experiences. You certainly did that memory justice. Excellent in all regards. Tom

Hi, Floyd !

I recognize the woman
you are singing about !
It is truly sad but your tune
is right on the spot and
describes that woman exactly !

Super tune so superbly
put together and produced 1
