Just For One Day Simple and happy song this time, another one fitting Miira's voice nicely. The chorus melody sounds bit familiar to me, but I haven't figured out what it could be, maybe you can enlighten me, or tell me that my song is original enough Comments welcome as always RealDrums: Rock16thsSync, ChoirClaps (made by Floyd?) RealTracks: Electric bass #2755 Acoustic guitar #362, #365, #2677 Electric guitar #2756, #2761, #1719, #2635 Electric guitar solo #1705 Resonator guitar #2626 Organ #689 Vocals: Miira Mixed in Adobe Audition 2017 Lyrics: Why am I doing this to myself? Why do I keep coming here once again? Stuck in routines in this bad job I keep on turning this tedious knob. Cut my chains, shake me babe just for one day show me there is another world no barriers blocking on the way. like playful cubs let's fool around make me feel like I'm not bound just for one day then back to my old life back to decay but a smile on my face. Why am I doing this to myself? why am I bending to your will again? stuck in your grip in this wedlock from breakfast to bedtime I live by your clock. [Chorus] Let's defy the laws and gods' will just for one day out of standstill life rollercoaster up and downhill on our glory day. Through the walls, the blaze of fire unrestrained rising higher "no contracts" sings an angel choir just for one day for one day. Why am I doing this to myself? why am I hooked again and again? stuck like an addict in bad habits junk food and booze no means to quit. [Chorus] ---------- Janne

Wow, you nailed this! Right from the first few bars, it's really attention-grabbing. I loved the groove, and found it pleasantly catchy I really enjoyed how the lyrics paint a picture too. Thanks so much for sharing!
Cheers, Deryk

Very nice lyric, arrangement and vocals -- the whole package works well.
The mix sounds really good on our monitors.
Like Deryk said "right from the first few bars it's really attention getting."
Kudos!!

PS Love the dobro. Good use of that RT!

I enjoyed this uptempo country rocker - a very nice choice of RT`s (and the handclaps!). I don`t know about the chorus, but the verses reminded me of Richard Thompson`s Back Street Slide. Well done.

Excellent delivery from every angle.
I really liked the driving beat you've managed to capture, and the choice of resonator guitar sits so well in the mix.
Miira's vocals are superb.
Great job, no question.

Robert Thanks Robert for commenting and enjoying The song you mentioned is new to me but yes, I can hear some resemblance in the rhythm of the verse melody in the Thompson's song. Janne

Hello, Janne
A very fun song! Mira's vocal is wonderful. The chord progression that is not normally used in country songs is properly used, and that is very interesting. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
