Walk All The Way To The Moon

The sun comes up with a blinding light
but there’s no guarantees
I always look to the sky Like a sailor to the sea
Trying to make one last escape
let’s make our move tonight
Based on all the evidence
I think we’ll be alright

Boundaries blurred by the path of light
walk all the way to the moon
We can save what’s left of us
Lord I hope we get there soon

None of my business what you think of me
I guess I could care less though you may disagree
it’s always been it’s nothing new
That's what the old ones say
we’re simply passing through
Like rain moving cross the bay

Boundaries blurred by the path of light
walk all the way to the moon
We can save what’s left of us
Lord I hope we get there soon

This is a great listen, Tom.

A good Rock write. Everything about it works - at every moment.

Brings to mind every classic rock band one can think of - yet doesn't seem like a "copy" of any one in particular. That's cool - a little ZZ Top, a little AC/DC, a little BTO (mixed with some Guess Who), a little Skynyrd..

The mix is exceptional. Powerful instruments and a clean, clear vocal - professional in every way. Exceptional guitars! Love the stop! Super lead.

And... for a Country guy, you do one heck of a Rock vocal!

Top-notch.

Tom,

Great guitar driven sound- that chorus hook is so catchy and your vocal has just the right amount of attitude.
Loved this!

Cool tune. Some excellent chord progressions. I agree with Floyd. I grew up on the Guess Who and BTO and definitely has that vibe. Well done

Agree with the other posts on some of the bands this reminded me of.

I even got a "Hot Blooded - Foreigner" vibe on the verses a little bit.

I liked this a lot. Great work!

floyd, This one was a lot of fun for me. Going way back, for me Rock came first, then Blues, then Country. It all bleeds together somewhat. Thanks for the wonderful review. I certainly value your comments, Tom

YEAH!!!! Great hearing you rock out!

Guitars are perfect, as is the vocal. And the mix! Totally pro as usual.

Great song, better than most of the music I hear on my local rock radio station these days.

Oh yeah!! We are down with the hint of early Skynrd - the good original band. This sounds like it would fit perfectly on any radio classic rock show. It’s that good.

As you responded to floyd...rock to blues to country. And you retain the goodness of them all.

Great write, vocal and signature TA production to top it all off.

I remember the first time I had sex with my wife. As we started getting into it she said "I believe you go big or you go home." Then we got naked.

She sent me home.

User Tip: How to add drum fills without changing any other tracks

MarioD has shared some great advice when it comes to adding drum fills without changing any other tracks in your song:

There have been a number of questions asking how to add drum fills without changing any other tracks in a song. This is especially important if one is holding a chord for a few measures and wants to add a drum fill prior to the next chord. The following is how to accomplish that:

1-get the instruments/tracks to play like you want but don't worry about the drums for now.
2-generate the song.
3-freeze all tracks
4-unfreeze the drum track
5-add your fills where you want them
6-generated the song again - note this will only generate the drum track and not the frozen tracks
7- when you get the drums like you want them freeze the track

Review - Band-in-a-Box® 2023 for Windows is Overflowing with Features!

Dennis posted his very thorough Band-in-a-Box® review recently, where he dives into some of the new features added with version 2023: Sound-Guy's Band-in-a-Box Review

Read his thoughts on the Download & Install Manager, partial track regeneration, Playable RealTracks, Audio Editing, the addition of SynthMaster, the VST DAW Plugin, and more!

"Band-in-a-Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is, without negative connotation, a monster of a program. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. No DAW can do some of the things BIAB does, while BIAB can do a lot that DAWs do."
