This is a catchy one, nice to hear you sing smile Good mix and funny lyrics. Nice that you were inspired by David Snyder. He has inspired me also, but the song is still developing in my head. And just to let you know that I have just made a song called Not That Good, to be released later, and it wasn't inspired by your song wink

Of course, the harmonies and banjo were 100% BiaB. grin

Hi David,

This brought a smile to my face during the intro, even before the lyric kicked in.
There's something about that wonderful backing which just does that.

Loved the song. The lyrics are inspired and your voice is perfect.
We need to see you on the Showcase more often.

ROG.

I wrote this on guitar first, and then went searching through BiaB to find something that would work. I was a bit worried it would be a long slog through a lot of styles, but I hit this preset and it nailed the sound I had in mind, so I was very happy with that.

David,

I enjoyed that a great deal!

As other have said, this is incredibly catchy. Even now while I'm typing this, the chorus is rattling around in my head!

The arrangement was great, your performance was excellent and the writing was really well done!

Definitely one to be proud of!

Regards,
Noel

David

Lots of nice comments here - and definitely "catchy" stood out for me.
Excellent work.

Thanks! Whatever I did, I'll have to remember to do it again. wink

Actually, this isn't the song that I intended to write. I'd been puttering on the piano all through the three day weekend with the goal of writing a meaningful song, but that hadn't produced anything usable. I had some chord progressions that sounded nice on the piano, but weren't really melodically interesting.

So in desperation I took a cue from floydjane's video. I picked up my guitar and started banging away on the guitar trying to come up with a chorus. And the chorus pretty much came right out. It wasn't even close to what I was aiming for, but it made me laugh, and I'm glad you enjoyed it as well.

That was wonderful! I wasn't reading ahead so when you got to the first chorus I nearly spit my coffee out!

Thank you for a good laugh. They are always welcome.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
