Thanks Noel! You have been encouraging me so much these past two years and have had a huge positive impact on my growth.
Thank you so much for taking all the time to listen so carefully to people and make such detailed, insight, musical and encouraging comments.
You will never know how much it means to me--and has meant to me. You are helping a lot of people in ways you'll probably never know.

I have no idea about Captain Midnight, but I have heard of Major Tom after watching some David Bowie documents recently. And I can hear Bowie influences Nice mix and good development from the acoustic start to the fading end. Chords in the pre chorus are especially exciting. Bass is loud enough. Janne

Hi David,
Yes, definitely a "Major Tom" feel to this one, as others have said.
Beautifully conceived and structured.
A super backing track serving to under-pin a fabulous vocal.
Your songs just keep getting better and better.
ROG.

Thanks Dave! I am glad you liked it! I saw the picture of Captain Midnight you referenced, and I believe there may be a disconnect. I certainly wouldn't want THAT Captain Midnight to bear the brunt this.

Hey HTL, Thanks so much! I am so glad you liked it. I think I answered most of your questions about the drums offline, but as I said, some of the techniques were in my responses in an earlier post that Floyd put out. Short version--double or triple those drums and add different effects to each track to bring the different parts of the kit out. (10 band EQs work great for this and there are many, many VSTS that will work wonders like the ones I refer to.) Take a peek at this: http://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=451099#Post451099Thanks for the listen!

Cool, Cool Song David!! I picked up the Bowie vibe (even before I saw the words Major Tom). One of my favorite things about this is how you build the arrangement. Never would have thought of that "plucky" synth but MAN does that work great!! Really GREAT song!! Take care. Greg

David,
You've certainly pulled out all those proverbial 'stops' with this one.
The arrangement, the production and the clarity of sound is first class; and your performance sits so very comfortably in amongst them all.
Really impressive work.
All the best, Noel David, Noel is so right in his comments! I was thinking all of these things! Good one! Thanks, Torrey

Well we’re definitely the odd couple here having barely listened to Bowie. That doesn’t keep us from enjoying the cool production and performances. Had a notion this would appear quickly after your response to Paper Plane. Everybody has remarked on the goodness and there being no badness we aren’t left with much to say Janice says the Tom Petty Alice In Wonderland video came to mind as she listened. "Off with their heads" as the queen said Cool, indeed. J&B

David,
Power movement throughout. The drive is subtle yet takes center stage. Power somewhat ensconced by slightly milder modifiers. Still the punch and jabs make their mark. I'd call it alternative rock.
I'd bring the drums up about 25% more - let em ring loud and clear. Bass is about right and gives everything else a solid foundation to work from. You vocal is olid with the tried and true Snyder Sound. Sound like the makings of a pretty damn gpp0d record. And lo & behold .... it is a pretty damn good record!
David, you show your atristy on this one and your execution brings it all together better than a Spicy Chicken Sandwich from Wendy's. And that's one good sandwich if drop a little Sweet Baby Ray's Honey BBR Sauce on it. Tasty music and tasty sandwich. I'm hooked!
Hugs from Di and, well; me too, Dude!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
