The Paradox of You

Listening to the pouring rain
I know the sun will come
Light from dark dry from wet
When wintertime is done

I see myself as the earth
And you the vast blue sky
Sometimes I keep you grounded
And you just let me fly

Chorus
I love it when we talk
I love the silence too
I love the yin and yang of life
The paradox of you

You are my harmony
the balance that I find
through the windows of my days
In corners of my mind

Sometimes you are the roots
growing in the night
Sometimes I am the leaves
bathing in your light

Chorus
I love it when we talk
I love the silence too
I love the yin and yang of life
The paradox of you

Bridge
In and out, hot and cold
Fear and courage, young and old
Good and bad, salty sweet
Up and down, messy neat

Chorus
I love it when we talk
I love the silence too
I love the yin and yang of life
The paradox of you

Hey Mario, I like your take on this! It's so cool to hear how creative everyone is getting. The feel you approached it with has me very interested. Somehow, I can tell you are a guitar player. There is a smoothness in your melodies that I never seem to be able to achieve.

Well done! smile

Mario,

I really like what you've done here. The chord progression that you've used to weave this fine arrangement and presentation impressed me. As the song progressed, I found myself sitting here and regularly saying things like: 'oh, I like that', or 'that was inspired harmony', etc.

It's two unhesitating and happy thumbs up from me!

All the best,
Noel

Very enjoyable version - nice melody, progression, and laid back feel. Good change in the bridge.
Really nicely done.

Very good use of the canvas for setting a mood. I expected to hear crickets. That calm and peaceful.

I am using the new 1040XTRAEZ form this year. It has just 2 lines.

Hello, Mario

Nice intro! Very mellowly.
The augment chord gives a nice accent to this tune.
And also the chord change at bridge is tasty.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Kind of got a CSNY vibe off your vocals. Loved the keys parts you had in there too and the overall feel of the song. Thanks!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
