How do you use samples in your work flow.

I have been doing a bit of research and looking at samples.
A mountain of sounds and most are excellent, I would really like to start doing something and using samples.

I would need a full tutorial sort of thing.

Any one ?

I think some of the OTS have chord recognition so you can use the BB Chord output track.

There are other Virtual instruments like RealGuitar, NI Session Guitar Acoustic and Sunburst Electric, UJAM Virtual Guitar and more that have chord recognition.

Another option is RapidComposer, it will work as a vst inside Biab
it will refit any midi to follow the chord track and output that to any virtual instrument. You can also use the RealCharts in it.

All the above have tutorials in the Tips n Tricks forum.

Once I get the basic tracks from BiaB, I move the .wav files to my DAW, and add other tracks - including MIDI - there. I may decide to replace the drums with something from EZ Drummer, or build a new bass line with bass loops.

Sometimes I'll start out in the DAW and import .wav files from BiaB. For example, I might decide that I really want a trumpet solo in the song. So I'll put the chords for the solo into BiaB, and then export a number of .wav files. I'll then go to my DAW and import those tracks, and choose the best parts to use as a solo.

But that's because I prefer to work in the DAW for detailed editing.

The workflow you choose should be based on what you're most comfortable with, or that makes the most productive.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
