Mike, the drums were generated by BiaB with Addictive Drums 2 - preset Funk-Bone Funk. Secret sauce = Waves - CLA drum effects.

I use the CLA effects on all of my drum tracks. I find that they bring them alive. YMMV

Thanx J&B. I am a little surprised by the number of forum members that like this. I was expecting a lot fewer comments. I am not complaining though.

This was strange. It was a little harder to come up with a lead line with all of those Dim7 and AUG chords. You can blame BiaB for the groove. Thanx for the guitar and B3 comments.

Rog, as you well know that with BiaB and some imagination one can come up with just about anything.

I'm not sure you can create a "crowd pleasing' work that relies so heavily on diminished changes, as you've done...but that isn't the point.

Your exploration reveals lots of different ways that this special chord can be used to advantage..and I think you two gave the 'dim' chords everything you could in this!

Looking forward to what musical curiosities you decide to attack next!

Thanx. It was hard to come up with a lead for this one. Sometimes those 'dim' chords were called those 'damn' chords will working on this!

Well sometimes the mix, composing and instrumental work isn't so well done. As most people I have my ups and downs. As I mentioned with BiaB and a little imagination one can come up with just about anything.

Not only do they have to write the piece,Arrange , mix and master it.

They perform as well.

Enjoyed this. Thanks.

I'm not necessarily all that talented. I just love to play. Plus sometimes I do have a very warped sense of humor. Thanx for the comments.

Robert, you just gave away our secret; we are just a couple of guys jamming away and yes we both enjoy it.

Thanx for listening and comments.

In this case, wouldn't that be a diminished enjoyment of music? wink

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Nice one Mario. When I click to play your latest song it never fails to take me by surprise! This one is intriguing and a great exploration of the dusty reaches! Off to listen again; I'm sure I missed a lot first time around.

Well, you and Jon certainly did not diminish the quality of the song by stripping out BIAB Style parts. The originality of each of your parts certainly augmented to the overall arrangement and performance. Enjoyed this a lot.

The opening bars reminded me a bit of Player's "Baby Come Back"

Mario,
Interesting tune.
Always wonder how you and JonD get going with your tunes, do you jam as if live or get the rhythm going and then you do your bits? cool

Whatever ... an interesting piece. I like it a lot as I like dim and aug chords myself.

Alyn

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
