Shigeki...lovely track! I really liked that you took out the drum/rhythm RealTrack--it isn't needed, since the melody and the bass/guitar carry the meter very nicely. Great melody, with the initial long interval and the repeating pattern. Your vocalist is perfect for this style. Although you started with a 'country' style, you have re-made it into more of a pop song. Expert production, as usual! Excellent submission for the contest!

VERY cool.
As good, if not better, than the wonderful Jpop that seems to bookend the better anime releases.

Cheers

Great work on this animarorecords! Fantastic choice of instrumentation. The different elements really glue well together and I love the flute during the intro. Great effects on the vocals, the harmonies are very soothing rich too. Well done!

Shigeki Adachi,

This is really beautiful. Your melody is wonderful and your arrangement supports Takako's excellent vocals perfectly. You are definitely a master craftsman when it comes to music creating.

As soon as I started listening, I found myself caught up in the song. It was a very, very enjoyable musical experience. I'm always a fan of AABA format and you've used it exquisitely well. One thing that really captured my imagination and made a huge impression on me was how, in each A-section, you used sequence to construct the first half of the melody and how this then opened up into a really lovely contrasting melody to complete the last half of the A-section. This second section of melody has a terrific feeling of 'lift' and 'development' associated with it. As I see it, this is inspired writing indeed.

All the best,
Noel

User Tip: How to add drum fills without changing any other tracks

MarioD has shared some great advice when it comes to adding drum fills without changing any other tracks in your song:

There have been a number of questions asking how to add drum fills without changing any other tracks in a song. This is especially important if one is holding a chord for a few measures and wants to add a drum fill prior to the next chord. The following is how to accomplish that:

1-get the instruments/tracks to play like you want but don't worry about the drums for now.
2-generate the song.
3-freeze all tracks
4-unfreeze the drum track
5-add your fills where you want them
6-generated the song again - note this will only generate the drum track and not the frozen tracks
7- when you get the drums like you want them freeze the track
