With all the sales starting to ramp up, Black Friday noise filling our inboxes, and the end of Nov soon upon us - I wonder if anything soon awaits us here in PG land?

Yes I am starting the anticipation thread early, I suspect that will also also start the "world will end if not 64-bit" threads, as well as the "kids won't buy antiquated GUI" threads, etc.

Oh, well

Larry

Been kinda wondering that myself. With all of the early and pre black Friday sales going around, hope there's some money left for PG. Seems everyone is jumping on this November rush for your money. Wonder why PG is laying back?

Starting this week, I'm checking the PG Music website and the forum daily. My guess a new Windows release will either show up on Thursday (when I'm too full of turkey to even turn on a computer!) or Friday.

We ought to start a pool. People can start pools for time and date a child is born or for anything sports related, why not a pool for when the next release will be announced?

I'm in on the pool ... as long as it's free (I don't gamble!).
I say Friday, November 30th, midnight.
Let the speculation begin!

I don't care what day it arrives on, as long as a new version appears pretty soon. Hopefully with 50 exciting new features and oh, maybe 101 new real tracks. Or more.

My 2018 version of Real Band has stopped generating real tracks and loops in the last day or so, and I'm hoping a new installation will fix whatever caused the problem.

OK lets not pot stir on my thread, it is for fun only

but Pat it's 50 new RTs, with 101 additional features, and two extra levels of bonus paks (a 25 pak and a 49 pak or somewhere in that ballpark - also I do know that if you don't keep track of those bonus paks then a year later you are second guessing what you SHOULD have - LOL

I think Saturday 1 Dec maybe might be the release date. Will enable Potential buyers to start their downloads and give Pg staff a little rest while the madness takes place.

As regards Features I would guess,

50 new features in Biab 2019
200 new realtracks, 10 of them video tracks.
10 new supermidi tracks
a 49 pak with an extra 40 realtracks, 15 of them video
An Xtra styles pak 6.
Might be an idea too for PG to include the link for buyers to download the free Riffstation software which is good at detecting chords and learning songs.

and with the plus Pak to upgrade your Ultra pak 2018 only costing $99, who will be able to resist?

smile

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
