Even when a new version is being released, are you serious !!.
Especially a 64 bit upgrade unbelievable.
They may very well be working on it. I only sent email as tech support NORMALLY is not available on weekends. I did not call.
I know they will fix it. They always do. just thought they would be better prepared. I am sure they tested in beta so something in the final release had to break it. I will say if it did not work in beta and they released anyway that is a problem. I assume the beta guys cant discuss?
I am sure they are working to resolve this issue. The 64-bit was a big change and there are bound to be a few issues that show up. They’ll need to resolve this double quick or annoy customers.
No one has gotten any word from PG on this issue? Looks to me like they are all in the office today? Seems to me they would appreciate some diagnostics from the user machines or shared desktop to see what is going on?
Yes, an incorrect file caused the issue, has been fixed and we will upload the fix soon- later today. You can use the 32 bit 2019 version (same features) until then - c:\bb\bbw.exe (the 64 bit version is c:\bb\bbw64.exe)
Ok I found this before PG music announced a fix but I got both my 32bit and my 64bit version to work finally.
Here is what I did.
I made a backup the following files in the Preferences directory.
1. DEFAULT.ALI 2. intrface.bbw 3. MySetup.DK
AFTER I MAKE A COPY of these 3 files, I delete them and started bbw64.exe and it ran just fine. BIAB automatically re-created them. I lost all my personal preferences but I can just go in and change them back the way Ihad them.
So far it seems to be behaving on both the 32bit and the 6bit versions but this is not to say something else could show up
If you want to try it, do this on your on decision. It worked OK for me but then again I like driving in the fast lane and don't like to stand around.
If it is not successful for you, just delete the new ones that BIAB made and rename your backups to the original names and then wait for PG to issue a fix.
UPDATE: Works on the Desktop but not the Laptop. Will I can only use 1 computer at a time.

As expected. You were working on it. Thank you for the update
Yes, and there are still little things that not everybody seems to get but I did. If I left either version alone for some relatively short time 10-20 minutes maybe, I get a Header Not Successfully Prepared box and I have to do a forced close. I just got that now with the BB32 release version and I got it with 64 beta too.
These little "hangers on" happen every year and get fixed fast.
Realise it shouldn't have happened in the first place but we can surely 'cut them some slack' as they, in my experience, has always been very responsive and helpful, in stark contrast to some I have dealt with.
Not only did they have it fixed quickly the fact they released a 64bit version and also the VST clearly shows that PG listen to and support their client base. Well done to Peter Gannon and all at PG Music.

This info is in another thread, but it relates here. Anyone downloading BIAB 2019 after the first twelve hours or so (from Saturday morning) gets the new patched build 602 anyway.
It’s good practice to keep checking for patches regularly. It’s normal for a greatly expanded user base to find things that still need tweaking.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
