Hi all Another midi query when a song has generated if a track contains midi data as well as audio say as often in a piano track you get a little yellow box on the right as well as the green one on the left. If the yellow box contains a eighth note you can drag this to a track and get midi data. Sometimes the yellow boxes contain an arrow pointing left. What are these they seem to drag ok but resolve to Audio. Confused Mike

Mike, that should be a simple answer. Hover you mouse over each of the different icons and an explanation of the track contents is displayed in a status text box at bottom of screen.

Yes thanks i see that now.
indeed they do what it says.
If you drag the one from the left with the midi skt icon you get a midi data track.
if you drag the one for the right with the arrow you get an audio track.
what a good game learning this vsti
